Description

If you're coming from the north, and saw the review of "I tried stopping at cabin Creek Rest Area, and I'm so glad I went 44 more miles to the best ever rest area," or whatever, I'm pretty sure this is the place that person was talking about.

I'm putting it on the map for camping, since it was only on the map as short term parking.

It's large, with well separated pads for semi-trucks and large RVs, so if you're small you don't have to listen to idling diesel engines all night. I'm in a 24-25' sprinter van and feel comfortable parked nose in on the car side.
This serves both directions of the freeway, and there is a longish loop road for the exit, with plenty of shoulder parking, if neither of the parking lots are your thing.

Fenced in dog area
Very well kept and manicured overall
Plenty of spots to get level.
Freeway noise is definitely there, but more distant than the other places I stopped between Seattle and here.
As far as I can tell it follows Oregon's regular 12 hour stay rule.
Can't attest to the view because it's dark right now.
4 bars 4G on Verizon
Close to an RV park, gas station, and lots of services.

I checked out the casino down the road and came back to this place because it was nicer, even if it's a tiny bit louder from the freeway noise.

Latest Check-Ins

Not many over- nighters at 2100. Woke up to full lots. One loud generator but only for an hour. Most big RVs on truck side. Clean bathrooms. Plenty of trash cans.

Report Check-In

My second time sleeping here. First time on truck side, second time on car side. I'm in a RAM promaster high top so never sure what side to park. I'm not a car & not a truck...hmmm
Anyway, this is a nice stop & easy to sleep.

Report Check-In

Very good place to overnight. 11 hour max. Clean washrooms
