Visited the Park and the near-by Museo Inti-Ñan (where the real equator is located, by the way), asked if we could stay overnight- sure, no problem. US$ 3 all day. Amenities inside the Park. Super fast WiFi on the parking lot.

Report Check-InWe checked out East Parking Lot first, since everyone seems to stay there. But we much preferred to camp in the official parking lot for Mitad el Mundo. Look for the entrada de turistas. It’s $3 for 24 hours of parking. Then ticket prices on top of that, but they are inexpensive. We met all the guards (night guards all night). They let us go into the grounds after-hours to use the restroom. We really enjoyed our lunch at Los Herreros inside the complex. Since this is the official parking lot, we didn’t set out chairs or anything until after the park closed. That’s probably the benefit of the other lot, which is basically deserted in a neighborhood. But, again, we preferred here. If you want to actually stand on the equator, go to Las Fritadas Don Guillo down the street to the left and around the corner. The equator is in front of his chicken restaurant.
