muy fácil.
bien organizado.edificio totalmente nuevo.
fue bastante rápida.
tienen WiFi y código QR para rellenar el formulario 250.
algunos policías ofrecen cambio de guaraníes por bolivianos.
muy buena onda.
Coming from Paraguay, it seems wrong to just keep driving past the old aduana buildings, but all paperwork is now done on the Bolivian side in the same building. It's quite simple and logical.
Report Check-InAt the end of the customs process from Bolivia to Paraguay you have to stop at the last house for fumigation. Don't pay anything. They are asking for 50.000 PG. If you don't have PG they will send you to a guy next to the house to change money. The exchange rate there is ridiculous. Don't do that. We said to the guy at the border post, we won't change and don't have enough with us so he let us go without paying anything. We think it's only a scam for tourists.
Report Check-Incrossed from paraguay into bolivia about 1:15pm. the gas station owner told me it would be open again from 1pm after lunch. first i got stopped at the actual border by random guys who make themselves look official and have a Cone on the road. pretty sure there is nothing official about them at all. not sure what they wanted from me but a few no comprendes and they got their "boss" from the little office and he came out and let me go thru. there were a bunch of people here also offering to take my guarani and give me bolivians. I didn't use them so no idea of their rate. but I'd probably use them to get rid of bolivians on the reverse journey. after that you see paraguayan aduana all fenced up. it's kinda confusing but just keep driving until you get to the big new building and park up and go inside to do passport and customs and get the tip for vehicle. pretty easy and they help you through it if your Spanish is bad like mine! quick inspection of vehicle. took about 45 minutes all up. the guy seemed confused about my paraguayan plated car being in my name with an NZ passport as my identity on the cars ownership title. but he got there.
Report Check-InWe crossed from Bolivia to Paraguay at 1:30pm on a Friday. You stop at the new building, go to Bolivian immigration first, then to Paraguay immigration. Bolivian aduana also take a look at the car and ask you if you have more than 10000 $ cash with you. We had to wait for the Paraguayan aduana to return from his break (around one hour). They are really confused about the tip so check if everything is filled correctly. Then he took a quick look in the car and that's it. When you drive further you are stopped at the old border crossing building by guys who look like former police men. We don't know why we have to stop there as the formalities are all done already... They indeed spray your car with some sort of liquid and ask you to pay for it. As we didn't have guaranis or BOL left they immediately lost their interest and we could go without paying anything......!
Report Check-InCrossing from Bolivia to Paraguay we first go to the new building on the Bolivian side.
1 Bolivian immigration
2 Paraguay immigration
3 Bolivian Aduana
4 Paraguay Aduana
All in one building.
Than we had to drive to the actual border where our car was sprayed with I don't know what. I had to go to a loket to pay 100 Bol for I don't know what and when I come back to the truck another 20 Bol for I don't know what. Of course we asked several times why we have to pay. The answer everytime is because it is the law, everybody has to pay! We got boletas for the payments with the correct amount, but never understood where this money is for (€16 in total).
had to pay 20k guaranis here to leave paraguay, when i looked at boleto it said i paid 16.5k , not sure where the rest goes 😅 i paid cash, unsure if able to pay with card. nothing for immigration done here both paraguay and bolivia are in the building further down the road
Report Check-In10 min border crossing with our own vehicle from Bolivia to Paraguay. Paraguay asked for yellow fever vaccine.
Report Check-InReally easy to leave Paraguai, check passports and took the TIP.
Enter Bolivia they asked for Covid vax. As we didn’t have anything to show to them they ask us to present an antigenic test on our way out of Bolivia at the end of our stay…we didn’t ask for more, tx the guy and went to the Bolivian aduana.
Usual process of entering a country.
Nice people.
We could change our last guaranis with the nice lady selling food next to the aduana. (9 Bol pour 10.000 Guaranis)
paso de frontera muy fácil y rápido. la carretera desde Asunción es toda pavimentada hasta acá y en buen estado.
Report Check-Invery easy border crossing from Bolivia into Paraguay. The Bolivian Aduana keeps the TIP from Bolivia, so make sure you have a copy to show the Paraguayan customs, then its fast and easy. They asked for yellow fever vaccination certificates, not for COVID. 30 min for the whole procedure, one of the most chilled border crossings we have experienced so far in the last 8 months from Canada to Paraguay.
Report Check-InMigraciones atiende desde las 7am. El dia domingo también hay servicio.
Report Check-InMigraciones atiende desde las 7am. El dia domingo también hay servicio.
Report Check-InBol>Par easy and friendly border: 30min, check first vehicule in bolivia, 200m after migration bolivia and paraguay + vehicule paraguay
Report Check-InEasy border crossing from Paraguay to Bolivia, within 30 minutes we went through. In one of the previous notes made by Rob Jansen explains it perfectly. If you continue this road you need to pay toll within 40-50km from the border. Just before you hit the toll there are some shops on the left side who also change USD / PG with acceptable rates (see
Markings “cambio”)
Going from Bolivia to Paraguay. Exit was very easy, for the entry they asked for covid vaccination and yellow fever. Better make sure you have them both. Car was a little more complicated, they wanted to send us away without a TIP, we insisted we need one. After around 2h his colleague arrived and filled the TIP for us. Obviously they don't have that much experiences with foreign cars.
Report Check-InThe crossing from Paraguay to Bolivia took us 1 hour. In the building on your left side you get your exit stamp and you give the Paraguayan TIP to another desk. Then you will go to the most right desk for your entry stamps of Bolivia. We've got a form to fill in and gave it with our passport to the lady behind the desk. We've got 90 days (Dutch nationality). The lady didn't ask for vaccinations, PCR, yellow fever or any other document. Somebody in Paraguay told us we needed a PCR and we could get it in La Patria. We took the risk without and it worked for us. Otherwise you'll know you can go there to get it ;) The tip of Bolivia you will get at the Aduana a little bit further up the road. At both sides they took a quick look in our car, but that was it.
Opening hours are 7:30-12:00 and 13:30-19:00 on the Bolivian side.
We asked in a restaurant where we could change our last Guarani. There was a local guy with a grey van. It is nice to have some BOB because at the toll you can only pay with cash. Be sure to take money from the first possible ATM, because at the tankstations you can only pay with cash if you want to try for local prices instead of international prices.
Report Check-InWe pass a few minutes before midday and they attend us very easy they only check Covid vaccination migration from both countries in the same office.
We go from Paraguay to Bolivia
Car papers on Bolivian side easy and polite Bolivian officer !
it was very easy to cross the border, the police are very kind, nothing to Say!
c'etais super tranquille de passer la frontière. les gars sont cool et si vous rigoler un peu avec eux ils vous rendrons vos sourires ! bon voyage les amis!
Report Check-InGoing out from Paraguay and enter Bolivia. Easy.
For Indonesian need to apply visa for Bolivia and after approval we take the visa in the border. Due to Pandemic so the borders not so busy.
Super easy border crossing.
Parked outside, had our passports stamped at the Paraguayan desk, left our TIP on the Aduana's desk.
Had our passports stamped at the Bolivian desk and filled a paper that we keep until we exit the country. Then got our TIP in 5 minutes (just make sure that all the info are right).
A guy for the Bolivian customs asked for our plate and names, we opened the door of the van, he didn't check anything and wished us a safe trip.
Then the guy at the next post asked for our trip and opened the gate.
It took us 15 minutes, easy and quick.
We stopped at the snack bar to exchange our guarani for bolivianos. You'll need bolivianos for the toll.
Report Check-InVery easy. Cancelled TIP for Bolivia on the Bolivian side. Small office on the left side. Then drive to the Paraguayan side to get the exit stamp for Bolivia, then entry stamp for Paraguay, and finally the TIP for Paraguay. We got 90 days. All of the last 3 things are next to each other in the same building, and there was good WiFi while we waited. Good experience! If you're a USA citizen, you will need your Visa to get into Paraguay (we got ours at the consulate in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, in one day).
Report Check-InEasy, took 20 Minutes + a lot of stamps, no side checked the car,
since we had an ensurence no problem otherwise they would have sold us one,
Exchange possible, rate of exchange is just ok, only 6000-1 Dollar
Report Check-InEasy Border.
From Bolivia to Paraguay for us.
First Bolivian Aduana check your vehicle and do all the tramites to exit the car from the country, and they allow you to pass you go the the building under the Paraguayan border, only there you do your exit from Bolivia witb your passport and you entrance to Paraguay. At the same place they do the papers for your car too for Paraguay and after that the Aduana check your car. Done every in 40 minutes, easy.
We also change our Bolivianos to Pesos Paraguayo and good option because no way of getting money until filadelfia
Took us about half an hour to get everything sorted. Short inspection of vehicle. Man in front of office changed our guaranis to bolivars for a better rate than my xe-converter app. 500000 for 600.
Report Check-InRight at the Paraguyan side of the border there is a brandnew Pedrochaco fuelstation. Also possible to take water, to camp, good toilets, a shower and little shop. Germanspeaking owner. Great place!
Report Check-InFrom Bolivia to Paraguay...
handed in vehicle permit and had short vehicle inspection before guy opened gate. Drove to next parking area in Paraguay. Bolivia immigration is there and stamped our passports. In another cubicle was Paraguay immigration. Vehicle permit filled out by next guy.
When driving out they did a very thorough inspection, complete with poking a metal rod into the door panels.
There is a gas pump just beyond the border but didn't see anyone there and not sure if gas or diesel. La Patria was out of gas.
Report Check-InStandard border-crossing procedures. The simple form for bolivian migrations must be filled. Quick car controll by aduana. Nobody asked for money.
Report Check-InAduana Paraguaia e Boliviana. Recebemos documento branco (permiso do veiculo). Tudo no mesmo prédio.
Mais a frente parada para conferencia do carro.
E mais a frente mais uma parada. Conferem documentos.
Report Check-Inbe carefull. they ask us for papers they dont need and 2 minutes after ask for money... instead of papers... we dont pay anything and pretend to be from Dakar team and informing the diection. They let us go.
Report Check-InCustoms (vehicle TIP) and immigration Paraguay have to be completed here, immigration Bolivia is in Ibobo. Process was smooth, but very relaxed at the Paraguayan side, therefore took 30 min.
