Something not right?

Description

The spot and many others around it are part of a dirt and rock road that also lead to the other listing on iOverlander. I have found that this area, which is just as awesome as the area 3/4 miles away, is less busy and easier to access (the spots closer to the road anyhow, and I don’t mind the odd-car sleepy traffic on the main road, is far enough away). Amazing sunsets, beautiful views of Las Cruces down below, and you’re right in front of the Organ “Needles” - super dramatic and sharp mountain peaks. There’s homemade fire pits but otherwise no amenities.

Latest Check-Ins

Beautiful camping on BLM land. Very quiet on a Thursday and Friday in December.

Report Check-In

Great views. be cautious of the many rocks you might have to drive over. You're close to a road but the noise is minimal. I wouldn't recommend large RVs back here.

Report Check-In

Good vantage point of the surroundings. There is an "S" bend in the paved (main) road, so you can hear cars before you see them. Minimal cattle guard noises as cars drive over them compared to other areas close by.

Report Check-In

spread out campsites, fireplace at each, sits right under the organ needle mountains. Quiet besides cars once and a while. easy to get to, definitely less crowded than the other spot. I was here for a week with no issues. Town is 20 minutes away. Sunsets were really really amazing. You have a great view of Las Cruces and the mountains. Definitely coming back here. Road going through each campsite is rocky but I’ve seen every car/rig get through. One sign about ‘no dumping’, but that’s a given. Full bars At&t
