hemos sacado el SOAT aquí y ha sido un laaaaargo proceso, literalmente hemos tardado más de un día y medio en conseguirlo. llegamos el miércoles a las 7 de la mañana ya que solo dan como 10 turnos por la mañana y 6 por la tarde, las personas van a hacer fila desde super pronto así que tal y como dicen otros comentarios tal vez sí llegas a las 8, que es cuando abren, ya no tengas turnos. esto es porque es solo una persona la que hace los SOAT y tarda entorno a 25 min por cada persona entonces según el horario del lugar es a los que da tiempo de atender. Conseguimos entrar los 6º y desde las 7 de la mañana hasta las 11.30 no terminamos (bueno eso creíamos) fuimos a pagar al banco de abajo (solo en efectivo y solo en Banco Bogotá que cierra a las 11.30) , el chico del seguro nos dijo que tal vez tardaba un poco más de lo habitual en llegarnos el SOAT porque había un vehículo de Colombia que compratía nuestra matrícula. el SOAT nos llegó a eso de las 19.00 y nos llegó a otro nombre. es decir los datos del vehículo estaban bien pero el nombre del titular no estaba bien. así que tuvimos que volver al día siguiente después de estar toooda la mañana allí y volver a la tarde para ver si llegaba la dichosa confirmación. le explicamos que el seguro estaba a otro nombre y se puso a intentar solucionarlo, estuvimos toda la mañana de nuevo en la oficina y no obtuvimos nuestro SOAT, tuvimos que volver a la tarde y por fin a eso de las 14.30 lo conseguimos con todos los datos correctos. la persona que nos atendió la verdad que estuvo pendiente de solucionarlo pero aún así ha sido un proceso lento y agotador tal vez merezca la pena pagar un poco más ir a otro lugar y no perder tanto tiempo en un simple trámite. 256.000 cop por 3 meses para una Sprinter 415

As others descriptions. The guardian told us that for 30k more, we could pass directly (there were more than 15 people before us).
We got the SOAT for one month for 75k for our VW Crafter.

Le gardien a l’entrée m’a fait monter directement au bureau en évitant la file d’attente très longue, ne pas hésiter à aller lui parler. Ensuite penser à faire imprimer le papier de paiement avant d’aller l’effectuer à la banque (possible facilement dans les rues autour) En tout ça m’a pris 2h

As described below.
Small adder, we couldn’t pay at the Bancolombia so we had to go back to the office and select another bank: Banco de Bogota. Took us 6 hours, because we had to stand in line for a long time at the insurance office and also had to try several banks before we could pay (and had to stand in line again).

A long line of people waiting here already early morning. We talked to the entrance guy and he would let us in. Said they only attend 15 people in the morning and 15 in the afternoon but for an additional “fee” he would arrange an appointment with his “boss” a Mr. John. So how much more would that be? 30k pesos for 2 motorcycles. We agreed, He showed us upstairs, we went through the whole process as described before but we never payed the additional fee. We did not receive the email though after paying the insurance premium at a shop around the corner where we were directed to. We went to Mr. John again and he printed out the policy for us. Very friendly, so far so good. 3 month for 170k peso for motorcycle with 690cc.

we got our 3 months SOAT here. very friendly people. you have to arrive early because they have a maximum people daily to attend.
from 8am to 3pm, but they stop for lunch.

I got my SOAT here: 3 months 260'000 COP
Waited there about 1.5 hours in the line. Be there early, they close at 5 pm and do not let new people in from about 4 pm.

payment:
You have to select effectivo in the link you get via email. CC does not work (you then need to come again for a new try)!!
Then you have to find an BanColombia to pay it there. Some of the scanners do not work, just go to another BanColombia...
In the end you get an email with a link to your SOAT document.

We get our SOAT here at the second floor.
after trying to buy it in 6 shop in ipiales, a guy told us to come here.
it took more than 1h because any of our french car data made an error in the soat system.
got a 3 month (no possible less) for 53usd. not cheap but seems to be the only way/place around the border.
