Something not right?

Description

It’s a very nice big meadow next to a forest with some bushes and trees, too. To get there take right on the last real road before the mirador (Luis Baez) then left in a near U-turn when the main track goes right. Lots of space. There are some trees to get shelter from the wind, too. You can hear some cars from the other road but quiet at night. It’s very close to the city so maybe in summer people come here for picnics but we were alone all day. It’s also very clean so please keep it that way. Very good 4G connection.

great little spot just outside Cochrane. We pulled up close to the trees for wind protection, although it ended up being a calm night. Flat and relatively private. We were the only ones camping in our van here. There was quite a bit of trash around unfortunately. Please pack anything out you bring in!

Quiet, flat, nice view. To get there take right on the last real road before the mirador (Luis Baez) then left in a near U-turn when the main track goes right, then right at the next fork. I've added a picture of when to leave the main track. This is way easier than going up directly from the mirador.

There's now a good quality dirt road that looks quite new that provides easy access to the meadow from the other side, you will see it around 300-400m from the Mirador.

Nice meadow surrounded by trees for wind shelter. Access is easy, no 4x4 needed. Very quiet. Good 4G signal (but not as good as downtown).

Lugar amplio para poner varias tiendas y cubrirse del viento. Dejamos el coche al lado del mirador y fuimos andando (menos de 5 min) porque no tenemos 4x4. Llega 4g entel.

Large place for some tents and covered from the wind. We left the car next to the lookout y walked (less than 5 mins) bc it wasn’t 4x4. Signal 4g entel.

Really nice and quiet spot! we spent there two nights with our tent and no one came bothering, just few dogs in the morning came to chill with us. Watch out for cooking because is really dry, we stayed where the Mirador is. Also walking distance there's the bust station few minutes walking open till late in the afternoon that has free bathroom in case.

It’s a very nice big meadow next to a forest with some bushes and trees, too. When you reach the Cochrane sign on the hill, go up on the dirt road between the pine trees. A little part of the road (1m) might be a bit difficult but there is a bypass to the right on the grass to overcome it if needed. Otherwise the road is good. On the fork turn left and you will end up on the meadow. Lots of space. Check to see if you can pass before turning left, turning right will also take you further down the meadow but on a less steep road. There are some trees to get shelter from the wind, too. You can hear some cars from the other road but quiet at night. It’s very close to the city so maybe in summer people come here for picnics but we were alone all day. It’s also very clean so please keep it that way. Very good 4G connection.
Big rigs: Since it’s just 50m away from the Mirador street I would advise you to go on foot and verify if the road is ok.
