Description

The owner of the Eco-lodge, Mariano, allows you to stay in his garden / parking. There is place for 1 or 2 vehicles. You enter by a steep path.
The whole property is fenced and felt very secure. Mariano can cook like no other and you can have diner or lunch if you want. We stayed 4 nights. Very clean bathroom. Super fast internet. Nice patio to hang out with Mariano’s super cute and friendly dog!
It is a perfect and save place to leave your vehicle while you go into the center of Medellin, metro is 5 minutes by bus.

Price is $18 per night including breakfast.

Beautiful place, nice and helpful owner who speaks good English. It's a parking lot in front of the house, paved, nice terrace, you can use the kitchen and bathroom inside the hostel. Everything super clean, hot water, he offered us towels too!(we didn't need, but nice option). You can do laundry (washing machine+dryer - don't know the price). Breakfast included. Paid 100 000cop/2ppn. Quite a lot, but worthy place. Metro station very close, so easy to get to the city! Only be careful with the entrance road-quite steep, very narrow with walls by the sides. With our diesel Toyota Land cruiser doable only with 4x4. Definitely not for big vans or big rigs. We are 5m long and it was just ok to fit inside and get through the road. But recommended place.

We don’t sleep, but we try to get in! The place is in a horrible location. To access, there is a super narrow slope. Our motorhome is 7.10 meters and we got stuck on the slope. it was desperate! Know that if you are going to try to get there, you need to have a small and strong car to go up the slope.

The Secret Buddha is a sanctuary for travellers in Medellin – it is nestled in Medellin’s southern suburbs where travellers can both enjoy the tranquillity of the Buddha while experiencing the authentic local suburbs and culture.

The Buddha is inspired by ‘organic architecture’ – an expression of nature’s interconnectedness and supremacy over the built-world. Each room is a labyrinth of artisanal finishes and artistic treasures.

We offer Shiatsu massage therapies, personalised home-cooked meals and yoga and meditation areas.

The rest of Medellin is easily accessible – 20 minutes by car/Uber to the city centre or alternatively a 7 minute bus ride to the local metro station.

The owner (Mariano) is a traveling chef and Mezcal expert who established the Secret Buddha 15 years ago as an expression of his life and the philosophies which have guided him.
