Middlegate Station is a family-owned restaurant/bar on the site of a former Pony Express stop just off US 50, east of Fallon, NV. It is a quirky, friendly place known for their burgers, which we can attest to. Their website clearly states that dry camping is permitted. They also have a small motel. We asked the staff about staying the night and were told to park wherever we like. Lots of room in their gravel lot. We did not notice any noise during the night.

What a cool place. When I showed up at dusk there were a lot of people in the bar/restaurant and people were very friendly. Met another solo traveler at the bar and had a couple beers. I’m gonna sleep in my van and head on down 50 in the morning. A great spot.
Report Check-InStopped for dinner which was amazing. I had the Ruben sandwich with onion rings and my husband had the bacon cheese burger with onion rings. Delicious! There were several people working and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We were told we could park anywhere on the property for the night.
Report Check-InFlat gravel lot, lots of space. Very welcoming and great food. Loved it!
Report Check-InJust off of Highway 50, huge gravel parking lot. This place is a quirky little bar and restaurant. The food is great and the portions are large. Bathrooms are clean, air-conditioning is cold. They have live entertainment on the weekends. Motel rates start at $40 per night. Located out in the middle of nowhere, this is a great little spot to pull over for the evening and boondock or rent a room for a shower and a break from the road.
