We liked this spot because it has a tall shelter that we could pull our van under to protect us from the rain while we cooked dinner on the bbq. It’s at the end of east Caladh Street overlooking the water. We checked out the laundromat as mentioned in another post. It’s the nicest one we have seen! Super clean with a bathroom and the option to just leave your laundry for them to do for you. Opens 8 am - 7 pm sharp.

We did not understand the laundry situation mentioned in previous comments, plus the shelter was too luminous and too noisy (because of nearby AC systems). We parked and sleeped 10m away, on the parking lot in front of the old building. No « no overnight » mention, it was very quiet and no one bothered us!

Just let you know, don't stay to much close of the building, its air conditioning is very noisy...
Quiet spot for the night. Even with our 31-foot rig plus tow, we had plenty of space, and no one bothered us. Checked out the laundromat in the morning. The owner is the nicest guy. The place is spotless as described and has wifi. As we were packing up in the morning, we spotted a few young deer wandering through!

Report Check-InBecause the spot by the harbor is closed, I came to park here, it's quiet at night but omg so noisy in the morning if you want to stay there late, and go around the town, not at all peaceful when you're literally next to the construction site. It seems that things change after summer started. The other spot in front of the harbor restaurant is now a small local market. It's nice to be right in downtown but too noisy for me.

quiet place next to the old train station. for one night its fine. you can see the water from your car. there is a general store in the old station, it opens at 9 or 9:30am.
Spot silencieux à côté de la vieille gare de train. Pour une nuit, c'est ok. On voit l'eau depuis la voiture. Il y a une superette dans le vieux bâtiment, elle ouvre à 9h ou 9h30.
Report Check-InGood covered spot. Quiet with quite a few amenities such as shops, restaurants etc within walking distance. Public toilets available at the visitor centre about 5 minutes walk. Appear to be open 24/7.
