This is a nice open area with lots of space. Nice road access for any vehicle. Is the site of an abandoned forest services fire watch tower. No water or any other services. This is a ‘wildlife management area’ (WMA). It is free primitive camping. It has excellent AT&T phone signal and I get lots of over-the-air TV channels. It is quiet and not much traffic. A word of warning: there are lots of hunters in the area, that’s what the camp was designed for. Wear high visibility safety colors and stay on roads if your walking during the hunting season. 15 miles to nearest services of any kind.

As described by others. Primitive. A few shade and non shaded sires. Great starting point from any gravel rides into the Piedmont Wildlife Refuge. No close water source. Some logging near by.
I have AT&T cell service and had 2 bars.
Report Check-InDecent spot to spend a night or two. Pretty much an open field at the base of the fire tower (closed) w/ about 6 or 7 fire rings. Fairly level, decent bit of trash around
