Description

100 meters from the main road is an established family-run campground and restaurant right on a beautiful beach (there is no sign for camping on the main road, but there is a big sign for the restaurant if you are coming from the South). Nice shaded areas for tents, vehicles, etc. bathrooms are pretty bad but the beach makes up for it. Not very secure as many people come during the day to surf, etc., but we had no problems here. About a kilometer from a town with a good grocery store and variety of shops. The 2nd Saturday of the month, they have a capoeira at gathering in the center with local foods, etc., called Sarao. The prices for camping seem to vary. We were initially told 20R per person (with 2 motorcycles and a tent) but the owner agreed to 30R/night. It is probably possible to negotiate a good price for multiple nights. Quiet in the off-season (now) but apparently packed and loud in season. Wifi is available, but they charge 40R per day for it - we went to town for wifi.

Camping Praia pe de Serra, on the beach, simple campsite, 220v water, banos, showers are cold clean but simple...ask for 30R$/pers but ok for 25. internet but slow and heratic. no restaurant near by.

Expensive for what you get. Toilets are really really bad. No lights, often no water... We negotiated for a price of 20r per person, but I still feel it was way too much for what is offered. The beach is beautiful, though. Might not be bad to check another camping a few meters further down the main road (if driving southwards).
