A big parking lot near Windsor Park field. Locals come with their dogs in the morning. No amenities but no signage around. Good for camper vans. We have spent a quiet night here with no problems at all.

Nous avons dormi ici, toilette et douche disponible mais au matin vers 8h15 am, un policier est venue nous voir pour nous aviser qu’il est interdit de dormir ici, mais il ne nous a pas donné de contravention

Follow up to my last post. I now realise I am not in the parking lot but parked next to the field.
Perhaps being in the parking lot is fine?

Report Check-In

we are parked at the side of the park where the cricket and rugby pitch are.
No signs but got a knock at 6:45 from the police. Very polite officer who said that there is a bye law against overnight camping.
Not asked to move as we can park here without issue during the day.
I am wondering if I am in the same place as the previous poster as I couldn't find the public toilets nor the cafe.

We stayed 1 quiet night in the parking lot here with no issues. We had our Westfalia with the top popped. There was one other RV and a group of people pitched a tent in the park. Sprinklers came on pretty early and spray onto the road so keep that in mind, also to note people arrived very early with their dogs, we were up at 7 and there were already quite a few people with dogs. cops turned up (around 8) and ticketed the tent people, probably as they hadn't taken down their tent super early so be aware that there are probably people in the neighborhood who aren't too happy with people staying here and may call the cops if you are there too late/long etc. Positives however, there are lovely clean restrooms in the park and they were open by 7:30 (maybe open overnight but not sure) and the Windsor cafe was absolutely delightful (breakfast wrap and sausage roll was the perfect breakfast!)

Report Check-In

We pulled in to camp for the night and a very polite police officer pulled up and informed us that there was no overnight camping anywhere in Oak Bay (the neighborhood where Windsor Park is). We moved to Hampton Park and overnighted on the street there with no problem.

Don't let the previous comment scare you off. I live a block away, and overlanders are welcome to park here, and do park here all the time. Unless you're being disrespectful to the park or area there's no one who will bother you.

Report Check-In

stayed for a night and into the afternoon, don’t do this. PARK LATE & LEAVE EARLY. Neighbourhood watch is very serious. returned to the same spot for a second night; a resident came outside to write our license plate down and we were later followed.

Report Check-In

Stayed one night. Quiet except the busses. Cafe opens late

Report Check-In

Stayed for two nights, very quiet. There were no other vehicles overnight but the whole parking lot was full in the morning. Cute cafe across the street as well. Definitely would stay again, very nice area!
