Description

The camp is nicely on the Zambezi River. At the campsite there is a small restaurant where you can get breakfast and dinner. From the beautiful terrace you look at the river and enjoy the day in the shade. The showers and toilets are simple and clean. We paid 250kW / PPN. WiFi is available.

Good spot to stopover for the night. Great views of the Zambezi and squeaky sand on the banks of the river an easy walk down from the site. Beautiful location and helpful and friendly people running/owning it.

The campsite and chalets have a view of the river. I paid 250 kwacha to camp. The camp is run by a local church which uses income to drill boreholes for local farmers. The staff are really friendly. A simple dinner menu is on offer. Wi-Fi and coffee are free. Despite the lovely trees and view, note that the camp is only 500 metres from the main road and that there is traffic noise. The open air shower and toilets are a bit ramshackle. As Christians, they don't sell beer. Don't expect anybody in reception on Sunday until after 2pm.

Situated under large trees with grassed campsites, close to the very good M10 tarred road, this is a place to relax at. A well-appointed kitchen with tables to sit at, but you'd prefer the spacious, shady deck overlooking the Zambezi River, with a firepit adjacent to braai your meat and enjoy a cold beer (own supply, as the camp does not povide alcohol). Ablutions are basic but functional. The camp is an easy 11km to the Ngonye Waterfall.
ZKw 240 pppn.

Beautiful place, nice platform with river view and very friendly owner. Also electricity there. Can hear the noise from the road in the night, but hot much traffic.

Nice campsite with lots of shade.
Power and wifi.
On the banks of the Zambezi river.

Sehr freundliche Betreiber. Für unsere Unimogs gerade noch befahrbar. Plätze schräg, schattig und Grün. einige Dinge waren noch im Aufbau

Report Check-In

No boat trips available, not much space, not suitable for trucks. Nice place with great views from the terrace over the white sand of the Zambezi.

Beautiful camping site overlooking the Zambezi river. Camp site run by a mission organisation - Overland Missions - based in Livingstone. People are so friendly and very accomodating. Now $15pppn for camping.
Ablutions have no roof, so you are under the stars. Hot water via a donkey system. Did not work 100%, but still good. Wifi available and works well. Kitchen with cooking facilities as well as a fridge available.

Report Check-In

Nice camp personnel, small sites, ablutions only ok. Well provide dinner upon request. We had chicken and chips which were great after an afternoon exploring the falls.

Perfectly located @ Sioma Falls between Katima Mulilo / Sesheke Border and Liuwa Plains (Mongu). The campsite(s) are located on lush green grass under shaded trees with dedicated fire pits. Taps and electrical points are close by and wi-fi was good. We paid usd10 pppn and received free filtered coffee the next morning. Staff was extremely friendly and ensured that we had hot water for the showers and firewood.

Great place. Camping in beautiful green surroundings with plenty of shade. We stayed in the chalets and it was tastefully furnished. Beautiful view of the lake and Jack and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We were the only people there at the time because if Covid 19.

We liked the setting of this campsite, with the white beaches on the river side. There is a nice deck with view over the river and the ablutions are in good condition. We got hot coffee in the morning and the owner and manager are very friendly. The only downside is that you hear the noise of traffic on the tar road..

Report Check-In

As described very nice campsite on the river, it is the rainy season and the river is very high, 15$ now only cash.

Report Check-In

Nice place. No need to car-camp on the parking, you can camp on a pitch. We paid 100 kw, which is less than 10 usd (130 kw).

Everything perfect!!! Only negative point is the WiFi:(

Report Check-In

The best camping spots we found in Zambia. It’s rustic, but super well maintained. And above all, the staff - led by Jack and Amber - are very friendly and accommodating.

$10pppn. Hot showers. Grass. Stove. Right on the Zambezi River. Beach. Deck chairs. Fire pits. Highly recommended as a destination camp site for anyone considering going that way to see the charming Sioma Falls.

As the others already described. Only went in for having a look. I absolutely liked the view and the lapa place.

Swimming Pool definitely needs some attention

Report Check-In

Nice place next to river and white sand beach. Great braai place with riverview. We paid 10 USD pppn. They have a free coffee service in the morning great! Maintenance could be better, toilet door fell out, plumbing needs attention and the pool is only half full and not clean.

Report Check-In

All as stated below. We camped next to the “kitchen” area with nice river view. Very quiet and dark at night. Beautiful braai place right at the river. We paid USD 10 pppn.

Report Check-In

Good location above bend in Zambezi river close to road bridge. Grass sites for max 4 vehicles, good toilets & donkey fired showers, dodgy electrics when we were there and only good for charging phones etc. Food possible but no bar. Boat trips to nearby falls. 10 USD pppn camping.

Report Check-In

The place is open, and like previously mentioned, it is an amazing place by the river. At the entrance keep straight for reception. The sign for camp site leads you to the camp site, but there is a possibility to just camp at the mission where the reception is. Still 100 ZKW. Very friendly people.

Report Check-In

Confused! There is a new bridge near this site and road on the other side of the Zambezi. Tried to visit this site but it looked unfinished and abandoned, no one around... perhaps call ahead?

Report Check-In

Fantastic place at the Zambezi and near Ngonye Falls run by Jack from Livingstone who has put a lot of effort into building it. You can pitch your tent on the green lawn or sleep in/on top of your vehicle in the parking. There are beautiful white beaches with sun chairs and umbrellas, a terrace as well as a braai area overlooking the river and hammocks. A sink and stove is provided for self-catering, there is wifi, solar powered electricity and there are also two en suite chalets. Boat and fishing trips possible. 10US$ pp for camping and 25US$ for a chalet for two people.
