sweet little spot on the eel river, easy to get to. trashy but picked up a bunch. quiet at night, could stay for a while if it was cleaner

NO VERIZON SERVICE HERE. But absolutely beautiful, good river for swimming for me and the doggos. Felt safe minus the couple in the pickup truck with the aggressive pups who were camped out for it looked like a long while before we arrived. Stayed one night, would have stayed 2 if there was service
Report Check-InFantastic, low key spot right on the river, we pulled down about 100ft past this spot at a turn around, but there’s a few hidden places to camp down here and more towards lake pillsbury. This river is teeming with life, birds, otters, turkeys, water fowl, etc. So cool. Got here at 4pm on a Friday, a few other people here hanging out. swam and chilled by the river all afternoon. This is a locals hangout area, so if it’s busy, probably best to find another area. Tight squeeze, steep, rocky road in. #onlyvans or trucks, no RVs or trailers. Doesn’t get much better than this though! Pick up some trash and keep it low key, no fires, etc. there are some no camping signs in the area, but quite a few other people doing it and we had no problems. Plus, It’s been a while since you’ve made a “living in a van down by the river” joke.
