Great camping spot on the bank of Spring Creek. It is a bit of a rough road for a car or RV. Highly recommended for kayaking.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.

Lovely site on the shore of spring creek. Like others have said, rough road coming in. And lots of mosquitos, but private and pretty even after the fire that burned here! White bog orchids, lupine, and other flowers.
Report Check-InYou can access this spot via forest service road 9738, heading east off highway 97. Follow the road for a few miles and make a left at “spring creek day use area” sign. Stay left and you’ll see the creek. The road is great until the last tenth of a mile before the site, where it was a rutted out but still totally doable in my 2WD econoline. There are multiple sites with fire pits, a few on the creek and some in the woods. 2 bars AT&T LTE.
Report Check-InIgnore my previous comment. I saw the spot that OP is talking about kayaking back down the creek.
Report Check-InI think the GPS coordinates are off for this marker. There is a public road that goes to the spring off 97. There is a bathroom and a few grills at the parking area. I don’t know if you’re allowed to stay overnight, but I think that’s what OP is referring too. There’s a kayak launch a little ways down Glendale St past the logging museum of Collier Memorial State Park.
Report Check-InThis is private property. There is a gate blocking the entrance. Also lots of tree work being done.
