Something not right?

Description

We've stopped by Lesedi a few times with problems and they're always happy to help, usually the same day for small jobs! Brought in a new manager and their service improved even more. Really your only option in the North if you drive a LR.

Reliable and knowledgeable. This firm is also known as Maun Auto Centre, but not advertised (Googled) under that name. Also phone number is not easy to find, so here it is: +267 73 505 158

Found Martin to be very good and friendly. rebuilt the front wheel hubs of my Landrover Defender for a reasonable cost. These guys seem to be the local Land Rover specialists. Listens and makes reasonable assessment of the issue - not guessing the issue as I have found with previous mechanics.
Highly recommended.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! Somewhere in early 2020 these guys at Lesedi Motors broke our heater and almost overheated our whole engine of a 2.4 Puma while they were just supposed to change the coolants!!! Then they bypassed the broken heater wrong!!! They didn’t listen at all and everything went badly! Then they demanded that we pay 1300 Pula or they wouldn’t have given us our keys back! That is blackmailing to me. When arguing about all this epic fail, the manager then hit my wife in the chest and we had to go to the Police to make an assault case against him. Also made a case of them braking our heater with the Consumer office but after visiting office and meeting after another absolutely nothing came out of it - unfortunately. And gotta say that the police commander in chief of Maun was not useful

Note: We write this in March 2023 and things may (?) have changed since…? — at least we sincerely hope that the manager is not the same.

the manager said the hour tariff is 600P! not negotiable, because policy from company...
other workshops charge 300P.
there's no bridge and press available (anymore).

Report Check-In

Very expensive labor (charged 550P/hr) and they didn’t end up actually fixing our issue (leaking oil on the rear axle). Unfortunately we were already in Zim a few days later when it became clear it was still leaking, but when we contacted the manager about it he informed us that they hadn’t replaced one of the seals they had said they were going to because they couldn’t get the part (which he had not told us at the time). Not willing to refund any money (and it was an expensive service).

Definitely would avoid this place if you can!

Very helpful with our broken vacuum pump, immediate help, after two hours we were on the Road again.
