Description
4 miles past the 6-mile sno-park. This one is much bigger. Many trails leading off the asphalt lot. The lot itself is a U shape. Easy in and out. Adjacent to main road, but noise is mostly blocked by lots of tall pines. Also, very little traffic after dark. Beautiful, dark night skies. Could see the Milky Way. Pit toilet. I stayed 3 nights. Two nights someone else showed up to spend the night, the last night I was there alone. So easy and comfortable. Good Verizon signal. You need permits during the winter months, but not in the summer

Large parking lot with vault toilets. As of 1 Nov, you need a sno pass to park here. I didn't have one (and you can't buy a day pass online) but I left early in the morning and it was fine. It's the first big snow now and there were some cars playing around in the parking lot in the evening (including doing a figure eight around my van!), but other than that, it was quiet and comfortable
