Lovely little town!!! In this small plaza you have shadows from some trees (really appreciate in the desert) The plaza also is full of lamps so looks very nice at night as well !!! We asked carabineros to stay and they said "it was not a problem"! Last night it was Monday night and very quiet not a single person or car .... In the morning the town is back to life! (still quiet )

if you want to stay in a quiet + safe spot going out or before hit Iquique is one the best option. 30km north of the intersection that goes to Iquique. 80km to Iquique.

Stayed here one night - noce place, felt safe, nobody bothered me. Music from the gym was loud until 11/12. but really quiet afterwards.
Water is also still available.
Very nice place to stay for a night. Nobody bothers. Public gym and pool next to it with some music. Stops at 10pm. Quiet night. Little tiende in the near with nice fresh bread.
