we did not need an adapter for the 20lbs US bottle.

Today Gonzalo Toledo filled our 20 lbs US bottle in 1h.
Gravity system. contact him via whatsapp. Working hours normally all day (no siesta)
Phone indicated on first checkin is correct.

I’m not sure the science of filling propane bottles, but Gonzalo’s father was not able to help us. We have an 11lb tank and he said it was too big (and maybe still too much pressure) to receive gas from his 10kg tank. So maybe it’s gravity fill? In any case, he may be able to help you if you have a smaller tank and/or if you’re tank is completely empty. We had an adapter but we didn’t ask if he actually needed it.

The guy is very helpfull but he dont know about this adaptator story. At list he dont have anything to refill gas🤷🏻‍♀️

After 2 days of searching, we finally found this place ‘Toledo’, where they were willing to help us fill up our US propane bottle. First they sent us to a shop in town, to buy the right adapter (fergas -27.469374, -58.83025). Adapter wasn’t perfect, but they changed it to fit. They wanted to buy ours, but we will keep it. So, they told us they will buy the same parts, so they will be able to help other travellers in the future. Gonzalo Toledo is very helpful, ph. 3795044092. Perfect!
