Description

Very nice campground. There are spots for RVs and tents. All have water, some have electricity (I did not see any sewer). The staff was awesome and there are hikes to do, a river runs through the campground. Overall very nice. $20 for a tent spot with water only. Not sure how much for electricity.

This campground is amazing. Bathrooms are very clean. Great showers. Wi-Fi worked well. They even have a conference room if you need to work. YouTube video on my channel.

Excellent campsites with paved area to park vehicle. Clean restrooms and showers. Totally shady. Great hiking on Fred Behrends Trail.

Officer Philip is awesome, Officer Hospitality! He wants to make sure you have a great time. Even brought firewood to the campsites. It's like the ice cream man at the school yard 😂. Campground is clean with water at all sites, electricity at some asking with rustic fire rings and picnic tables. Shower houses and flush toilets. Was $21 for tent site plus tax and $5 reservation fee. Great stop on my way to the Smoky's. WiFi on the campground but it's weak. No Verizon. Too many trees for Starlink. Great stay

Spent two nights and days at this 4500 ft elevation. 50° nights and 80° days. Great place to be in August. Electricity and water available. Stayed in site 71, level, pic nic table. Relatively private because sites are terraced on a hill.
71 would likely not fit a trailer or RV longer than 28 ft. Ours is a 22 ft.
Spectacular vista's and adventure hiking trails. The road South is sencic and leads to Bakersville, where you'll find some of NC's best potters. A coupld of very good art/craft galleries, Intandem is worth the drive from Roan.
