Amazing spot indeed, but owners don't communicate. Welcomed by Reuben in the afternoon, asked to leave by Raul (son) at 1am as the small house was rented and there was a party. Forced us to back out of the narrow driveway in the dark and had to find another place for the night. Crazy. Be sure the house is not rented and that BOTH people know you are coming. Not worth the hassle.

We spent one very quiet night here. The view is really nice!
We parked down at the river, the water is very clear and refreshing. When you are down at the river you can’t reverse so keep that in mind. From late November to February the beach disappears due to the water level.

To make sure someone can come meet you, contact either Ruben or Paul a day in advance. Both Ruben and Paul are very kind and welcoming. We talked had a really nice chat with Ruben.
They are renovating and preparing for renting the house, they said there will also be some bungalows at the property in a few months.
Oh yes, bug spray! Those pesky little flies bite horribly.

This was a great place to spend a couple nights. We text Ruben before hand and he met us to let us in to the perfect little private beach where we swam and had fires at night. Bring bug spray! The little biting bugs were out in full force and got our ankles and arms bad. Claro reception is spotty on 3G. There are bathrooms and a cold shower available. It looks like there is water available to fill up (we didn't use). Ruben asked for 50 soles for two nights, but we didn't have that much cash so he was fine with 30 soles.

We found this spot because we wanted to enjoy the beautiful river and some sun before heading to Cusco. Highly recommendable!
It is private property and belongs to Ruben. He is very welcoming and allows overlanders to stay for a small tip. There is a beautiful house (which you can rent as well for up to 10 people), a small sand path that you can drive down to the river. There, you have a beautiful beach and you can swim in the river. You can make a fire and will be completely by yourself.
