Latest Check-Ins

We stayed one night in our truck there. Was a bit disappointing for us, 15$ pn. The Lady was friendly, but just showed up in the morning again to take the money. so you need to find the (dirty) toilet and the (dirty) shower self. After we paid she turned of the water, so not possible to take a shower before we left. No offering of electricity or the WiFi password or fruits. Playground a bit run down except the yellow slide. Many moskitos and red ants, so be careful with small kids. The garden itself is beautiful.

Lovely grass field next to cacao/orange/mango field and river. Very friendly owner. Nice setting with party lights at night but….
busy road uphill pretty close, so some noise and the alarm from the surveillance camera goes off every few minutes but stops after a while. She brought us oranges and fresh cacao.

Really nice woman and you can use the whole garden & fruits lake cocoa, oranges, mandarinas... It's fantastic
15$ for us with two persons.

The water is not running, but a tank with buckets so you can flush the toilets. Actually no showers.

They took away the entrance sign - but they are still there (for safety).
Make at least a message or call in advance as she knows who is coming.

Place as described, we came just before dusk, gate open, lights on but no one there. Down there is no signal, so we call via WhatsApp on top and they let us stay. Bathrooms were closed as there was nobody, but in the morning we paid only 10$ instead of 15$. There are electric sockets outside, so no problem to charge phone etc.

Report Check-In

Just as described. Quiet night, good for a stopover.

Report Check-In

Very nice place to camp with lots of grass in between the river and a cacao field. If you are camping in a tent, pitch it closer to the cacao field because there are a lot of lights at night in the main grass area. The hosts are very friendly and you can eat all the fruits you want. We paid $15 for two people in a tent. The bathroom/restroom is not the best but they offered us breakfast for free in the morning. You can also swim in the river if you don't mind muddy water.

A beautiful place, cacao farm and fruit trees, many birds. Very warm, generous hosts who treated me like a queen. Fast wifi. Use of kitchen if you ask.
The only thing about the place I don't like so much is the bathroom. It is alright but no more

Report Check-In

Nice welcoming place - cacao and bananas farm. Friendly and helpful owners.
Steep road leads you down to the flat grassy space. 5usd pp/night. Possibility of breakfast and laundry (just ask). Drinkable water is available - ask owners where the tap is. Bathrooms are simple.
Juan - the son of owner has a small chocolate fabric in Quevedo. Ask about great organic chocolate then😀

We liked this place a lot. We stayed there for one night during our journey to the cost. The owner is very friendly and helpfull. We felt save at this place. Also interested in our story and plans and gave us some good advices and tips for nice places. The property is nice and big. The river where you can swim looks clean...we tooked a refreshing bath after a driving day in the big river- "pool" near to the cabins. There are Toilets and shower (cold but in this heat no fault) too. We observed some big lizards in the trees. And in the morning you can see a lot of birds. We paid 5 USD ppn. The Owner was so nice to us and let us refill our water tank with drinking water at her house. Its right, the place is a bit outdated, but we liked it more than a luxury hotel.

A quiet campsite with rustic style paving into a river. Rustic toilets and cold shower. They sell beer very reasonable priced. Skinning dog called Dora loves attention very friendly. Dogs welcome. No kitchen. Very friendly owner.

Report Check-In

We negotiated the price down to 10USD for the car and two people (no change). Nice relaxed place in well maintained landscape with hammocks in trees. The swimming pool actually is a bend in the river. Friendly and merry people. Flush toilet and cold shower. Very simple and not sparkly clean but it works and a shower in this climate is lovely. Entrance path might be challenging if you don't have clearance.

we paid 10$ pn, the owners were very nice and opend the gate at 8 pm for us. It is all a bit old, but the nature is nice.

Report Check-In

Arrived about 5pm, gates closed. A local guy phoned the owner for us, and told the campsite was closed.

Report Check-In

Went by looking for a place to stay. Gates closed, found the owners at the house and they told me the road to get down wasn't in great condition. I would easily go down but if it rained then would be stuck down there until it dries out. They seemed friendly. We left as didn't want to take the risk of being stuck.
