Malecon con estacionamiento frente al mar y restaurantes, no hay sombra. Pasamos un domingo y le preguntamos al oficial que está en la carpa, si era seguro pasar la noche ahí y nos dijo que parquearamos a lado de la carpa, que en la noche hay un vigilante de hoteles con machete 😳 no nos sentimos seguros con su respuesta y mejor nos fuimos.

Estacionamento público na avenida costeira sem tarifa. Estacionamos ao lado do letreiro da cidade e em frente ao restaurante Costa Azul (muito bom).
Próximo também fica uma tenda da polícia.
Silencioso durante a noite e seguro.
Muitos banheiros e duchas na região por menos US$1 caso necessário.

Public parking on the coastal avenue without charge. We parked next to the city sign and in front of the Costa Azul restaurant (very good).
Nearby is also a police tent.
Silent at night and safe.
Many bathrooms and showers in the area for less than $1 if needed.

Followed last directions and drive on past the point, down dirt road past hostel to a flat bit of wasteland. Not pretty, some trash but relatively quiet. No one bothered us but didn’t feel like the nicest area. Good if you run out of time driving like we did.

At the end of the paved road, after the last food stalls, past the hostel - quiet at night, no problems
