Description
Josiane loves to receive overlanders in her big garden. You can use all her facilities, hot shower and toilet in her workshop and an outdoor sink. Plenty of opportunities to relax in the garden. Samaipata is a short 10 min walk with bars, restaurants and shops. We payed 50bobs per night and 300 per week. It's necessary to call or write her in advance, but no worries she's super lovely and speaks Spanish, French, German and English!

All RVs wider than 2m should check upfront. We’re 2.5m and wouldn’t fit due to narrow entrance lane and trees.

We asked if we could get in, but we‘re too big . Heights would probably not be an issue but width is (we‘re 2,5m) due to trees. I would day 2m is ok. Everything above could be critical. Therefore I wouldn’t say, it is big rig friendly. I would definitely recommend to check upfront.
Report Check-InAn update on Camping Josiane: the campground is closed until November 2023. From December, Josiane will welcome the overlanders again in their beautiful garden camping, the overnight stay will then cost 50 bolivianos per person.
Report Check-Inthe owner of this place is the mother of a host we stayed with near Santa Cruz at a pin called Casa Grania, we met her there, and she invited us to stay here. super nice lady with lots of suggestions for things to do and eat in town and a really a nice location as it's just out of the city limits to be pretty quiet but still super easy walk into town. she has dug out one flat spot to park in as much of the area is on a hill and no amount of blocks is going to get you level. she loves dogs and offered to dogsit for us when we went off to go do some tours during the day. because we were hunkering down for the new years and because it was very convenient we ended up staying 6 nights. absolutely must contact on WhatsApp as the gate is very far from the house and she won't hear you knock. including some more pictures to show off the property a bit more. 70 per vehicle without plugging in. the flat spot is not in the shade so solar is good, when it's not raining. mediocre wifi.

Price per night without electricity 70b per night per vehicle for 2 people and with electricity it will be 100b. Hot electric shower and clean bathroom, wifi, washing machine for 20b per load with lines to dry under an awning, outdoor dish washing area, dog friendly, 5 minute walk into town, big grassy area with 1 flat spot, fenced in and secure, and quiet at night. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and they are friendly.
Report Check-In3 nights with Josaine, nice spot close to the center of Samaipata. Just 5-10 minutes walk. Josaine knows a lot about Bolivia so ask her what you have to know. 80 per night for the 2 of us. Including electricity and fast Wifi. We parked close to the house on a semi leveled spot. But she is making a leveled spot at the entrance. Nice hot shower with clean toilet.

It is super clean, Josiane speaks French, German, English and of course Spanish. She also likes children and animals on her place. There was enough space for our Landrover. For trucks it is narrow but doable. Josiane wants to make several places level in the course of the next weeks. Organic waste disposal is available.

The only downside is that there isn’t really a ‘camping spot’. And there isn’t any flat spot in her entire property (it’s quite sloped) except for the driveway just inside the main gate. So that’s where we slept. Her garden is still beautiful and we would stay again.
