There are two campgrounds on the lake. Both are the same but each has it's own entrance because there is a creek in the middle and no bridge. Only vault toilets. First bathroom was stinky but we moved to the second house and it was ok. No tp. No fee but donations. Nice place. Trains are going all night but it's doable even in the tent.
Report Check-Infree rural county park. busy train tracks with multiple crossings. yes, horns sound for each train & crossing, all day & night 🌙 😴
Report Check-InBeautiful place to camp. No swimming at this time due to algae. The dump station is to the left of the main entrance down the road a little. There are water spigots everywhere.
This campground is managed by the county. Is free, but donations are welcome. There is a volunteer camphost who maintains the bathrooms.
Effective Nov.1, 2022, there will be no overnight camping during the winter. Last year there was a lot of vandalism, and they are still trying to recover. It will be open for day use, and the county deputy does drive thru at night.
