$31 for site without power. Showers included. Bathrooms/ showers are open 24HR. Price seems to be decent especially since closest showers south east of here were $6 p/person and didn’t include camping. Facilities clean but old. Nice view from back side of lot with Artic Circle designation plaque.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Pretty much a parking lot with picnic tables (really need your Wellies if it’s been raining) but it was fine for one night. Friendly vibe in the hotel/lounge/restaurant, four lovely resident dogs. Loved the breakfasts. $40 CAD for electrical — a few of the outlets weren’t working.
Report Check-InWonderful stop halfway up the Dempster to Inuvik. Charming bar and infinite hot showers - I'm a boondocker and rarely pay for sites but this one was quite fun. I got stuck here when a tire blew 7 km outside of town and were quite surprised at how pleasant it was. Beautiful view of the sunset and valley below, lots of local characters in the bar, and tire was repaired first thing in the morning by the local mechanic. Fun and friendly people both at the campground and in the bar. Total characters. Highly recommend.
Report Check-InExpensive for what it is considering it’s just a parking lot. Showers had hot water but definitely bring your shower shoes. Had breakfast at the restaurant in the morning but pretty below average food.
Report Check-In$31 for non power site. Showers included. Good spot and nice there is a restaurant option if desired.
Report Check-In31.50 $ for no power, bathrooms and showers are really dirty. Leveled places pretty open, the ones in the back are not leveled at all. The spaces are not numbered so you get what is available. No Wifi
Report Check-InEssentially a parking area at the end of the hotel parking area, with sites along a fence or in entries in the trees, picnic tables, firepits, ablutions with showers (coin-operated). The hotel has a restaurant with a good breakfast. The fuel station is the only place with fuel between the start of the Dempster and Ft. McPherson. There's a tyre repair shop.
Report Check-InCampsite - essentially a parking area at the end of the hotel parking area, with sites along a fence or in entries in the trees, tables, firepits, ablutions with showers (coin-operated). Services at Lodge - fuel, tyre repair, restaurant (good breakfast), bar. Friendly and helpful staff!
Report Check-InAmazing place to see Aurora Borealis!! About half way on the Dempster highway. We highly suggest it!! Price is okay, 25 $ with power, 20$ without. Still open as of 9-9. Lounge is super cool. Shower is included also.
Report Check-In$25 per night to stay in campground. 15 amp electricity. Toilets and hot water showers included. Also, drinking water included. You can fill up your gas tank here. No dump station. Very interesting comfortable bar and restaurant. Plenty of parking space. Very slow wifi. Friendly staff. We stayed two nights. Easy drive to Arctic Circle marker.
Report Check-InWe were looking for a place to stay in the general area with electric to break up the long drive to Inuvik/Tuk. We’re self-contained in our 8 m (25 ft) MH and don’t use the facilities. We stayed twice on a weeknight in late August and early September on the return. This is a flat dirt parking lot at the far end of the grounds. About 8 15-amp electric sites ($25 cdn) are lined up against a fence. Primitive sites ($20) are anywhere in the rest of the lot. Walk across the lot to a good restaurant with bar. There’s potable water from a spigot at the hotel. There’s no dump station. There are rest rooms and showers which we did not use. There’s no cell service. Wifi is $5 which we did not use.
Report Check-Inlarge multi-service stop, garage, fuel, car wash, campground.20$ no services. Old but clean facilities, bathroom & showers 24 hrs free. quite truck stoppish, for the price and with services it’s pretty good
Report Check-InWe paid $ 25.00 a night for a 15 amp power site.
Bathrooms are old and not the cleanest, but they are included and hot.
Campsite is average for the north, we have the end site - so a nice view.
WiFi is down, whatever that means. No dump station here. Apparently no dump station between Dawson and Inuvik. Wish we had known that!.
you can fill with water on your way out, it's at the end of the bathroom building.
They fill propane here.
Stayed at campground - as described and still $20 for camping with no hookups. Decent deal considering it includes showers and is a pretty remote location. Very cool bar - old photos around the room tell the story of the ‘Mad Trapper from Rat River’ and how he met his ultimate demise.
Report Check-InOn the way back from Tuktoyaktuk we stopped here again. It was off-season, the campground was closed, the watertap did not work and the food in the Restaurant was terrible. Perhaps the cook was in holidays in Florida🤔
Report Check-InThe beer is now 7.30$. The campground is a dirty parking lot for 20$! The meal was good.
Report Check-InWe checked into the motel there. Rooms were clean, warm and quiet. It was nice to get out of the weather and not be in a tent during a really windy and wet time. The restaurant food was pretty good.
Report Check-In$20 for site without power. Showers included. Bathrooms/ showers i think are open 24HR. Price seems to be descent especially since closest showers south east of here were $6 p/person and didn’t include camping. Facilities clean but old. Nice view from back side of lot with Artic Circle designation plaque
Report Check-InGood stop with gas, restaurant, tire repair and gas. Electric 20amps that ran most of appliances.
Report Check-In$20 for a tent pitch and free showers. Tasty but expensive food. $6 a bottle of beer.
Report Check-Innice place and a good view, Wi-Fi for 5 $ in restaurant, drinking water at a faucet right in front of the building
