The place is so beautiful and they have an adorable puppy and a baby alpaca to boot!
The parking areas is flat with super easy access and lots of room for rigs of all sizes to turn around. The bathroom is clean but unfortunately the showers are still not in operation.
If it hadn’t of poured rain all afternoon we just would have warmed up a pot of water on our stove and done a pour over in the shower stall!
There’s a nice covered space to hang out and a lovely little restaurant which makes this a perfect spot to stay while you are hiking stunning trail around the crater. Access is just a few hundred meters up the road. The clouds were really low for the first two hours of our hike then they lifted and WOW!! What a beautiful view.
Owners are super friendly and pets are welcome.
We highly recommend this place. $5 pp included electricity.

All said. All true. I would recommend to spend some days here. Really beautiful!

I spent a night there with my dog. It’s very close to the Laguna Cuicocha and it was possible to walk the trail from there with the dog, because dogs are not allowed from the main entry.
The campsite is very nice and groomed, like a little garden.
I can highly recommend

Amazing family, great campsite, football field, a very cozy little house where Manuel or his son can prepare a fire. if you are tired of the heat this is your place, the temperature is perfect for a good night sleep! They have a restaurant with indigenous food which we didn't try but friends of us did and said it was delicious!

Report Check-In

Really nice and new build place with nice wooden tables under the shelter. Perfect grassy area for tents and two swings. Manuel is super nice end helpful. Also his wife made us some fresh juice when we arrived super tired after the long climb (on bycicle). There are two cute dogs, which don't bark, some cows and Rodolfo the Alpaka. The hike around the laguna starts only 200m from there (there is a secret passage to the path). Showers are not ready yet, but toilet is clean and there is an extra water tap outside.

Report Check-In

A very nice, quiet and extremely well-maintained campsite. Manuel and his family are very open-minded and helpful. The space is also suitable for larger vehicles. From here we took our tour along the crater rim - super beautiful. We are happy to recommend this camp.

It is a very beautiful place to stay. I put my tent on a very soft grass. The nights are very quiet. You have a good football and volleyball camp to enjoy. Manuel and Jordan are very very welcome people, very friendly, they are ready to help you. I recommend this place pretty much. The Cuicocha lake is very near, you can reach it on a 10-minute walk.

Report Check-In

Very lovely place and the owners are very nice! One of the view places with a lot of love for details! Fits big rigs easy…👍🚒💨 good place to start a walk around the Laguna, too!

Report Check-In

Such a beautiful setting, set across the street from the laguna. Very quiet. Friendly owners. Cecilia and Jordan were very welcoming. Wifi is good but only found near the building. No showers yet, still under construction, but very clean bathrooms and the property is very well kept. We stayed 2 nights, they charger per vehicle $10 per night, not per person. They have a small, very friendly and curious dog on the property. We really enjoyed our stay. They even offered to light a fire in the "guest reception/restaurant" area if we wanted it. Overall, a great place to pass a couple of nights. We have our own shower, so not having the shower was a non-issue for us.

We camped here for one night, 2 people $10 . modern toilets, showers still under construction. we cooked our evening meal, there's a great sheltered area to do this. We sat in the cabin/restaurant, no charge, only if we wanted a fire, we didn't. Meals $5 but I didn't have any meat so only charged me $3. Jugo naturales was fantastic, mora fresh from the garden, couple of dollars . Beautiful setting, stunning views, dogs barked a bit late evening but that was the only noise all evening. very friendly owners. we left our tent pitched to air whilst we walked the laguna. 5 hours, stunning. cafe at visitor centre closed. so take water and snacks. Highly recommended

It was a very nice stay. The WiFi is good and we slept wonderfully. Very quiet at night. The family is very nice. We were also able to leave our motorhome there at midday and take the hike around the laguna. The hike is really worth it and takes about 4 to 5 hours. You can walk directly from the campsite to the trail. Enjoy!

Great quiet spot with very friendly and accommodating owner. Stayed after hiking around the Laguna. Nice covered outdoor space. For $5 extra per vehicle he made us a roaring fire in the fireplace inside the restaurant where we spent the cold rainy evening playing cards with friends. Best $5 spent in a long time.

We paid $10 for 2 of us to camp. No shower but brand new bathrooms.

We really recommend this place. Manuel is very eager to accommodate overlanders and make them feel safe. Restaurant looks like a great option too.
