Description
Beautiful and quiet on the West bank of the Big Sandy Reservoir. 9 sites with tables and fire rings. One site with shelter. 3 pit toilets, very clean. Boat ramp.
Note: June 2022. Construction going on to raise reservoir max level another 5 feet. This causes closures of Big Sandy East and site below dam. Workers say construction to be complete November 2023.

Six site campground. Pit toilet. No water. They are adding some canopies I’ve picnic tables and adding fire pits. Great view if Wind River Range across reservoir. No bugs on this windy cooler spring day.

As others have said it’s a great place to stay. The area doesn’t get much use based on the weeds along the side of the road. So far we are the only people on the west side of the lake.
Report Check-InWe wanted to stay here, but there were SO many mosquitos, like billion, that we just ran away! Very sad because the camping was empty.
Report Check-InPit toilets, quiet, numerous spots, mosquitoes, views and lovely sunset. If you pull into fenced coral area be aware there is more than one spot per opening. Road is good quality. Some construction going on other side of the reservoir

Great view on the mountains.
great place with tons of space and sports for any size rigs. picnic tables and firepits available. BUT the amount of flies and mosquitos was ridiculous, we weren't able to sit outside or be in the lake.
