Description

Night show (light and sound) with 1 hour self directed walking tour and 30 minute projection show on the main pyramid.
Note: only 40 minutes self directed walking and 25 minutes show (11.06.2022)

Note: no longer free ($630 mxn pp) and tickets are separate from the main entrance fee.

Main show is in Spanish but with an option for translation in multiple languages (German, English, Italian, French) through a provided iPod (bring your own headphones). Walking tour is in language of your choice.
Note: No more iPod.

Time changes based on the season — in summer it’s 20:00, in winter it’s 18:30.

Online reservation at nochesdekululkan.com (make your booking and get a printscreen of your invitation/barcode in your phone/tablet). You chose your seats when buying the tickets — chose a seat as close to the front and as far to the right as possible. Arrive 30 minutes before showtime to get your iPod for the self guided tour.

They sell only ~500 tickets a night, but we were able to get tickets 2 hours before no problem.

It’s a great option to see the ruins without the heat of the day and with a smaller crowd. It’s magical to see the ruins with the stars above, but may be difficult for people with bad night vision or color blindness because of the lights.

Went to the Nightshow. When you have the Residency you pay half Price. We purchased Tickets online. 7pm entry, take your time to walk around, they rush you very much. Otherwise you wait by the Seats. Take first row and right. Best Seats!

went to the night show.
had a hard time getting tickets online so we went to the side. the ticket office is in front of the baños at the ticket building (little brown door)
we could pay cash and with credit card.
cost was still 630 per person.
at night we could enter at 18:30
while walking around we where rushed a bit. we thought we could walk back so we didn't mind.
but when you are back at the chairs you have to wait there for the rest. wich means that we walked around 25 minutes not 45 minutes that sucked. so.... walk slowly!
the light show was really nice!
and at the night show there are not many people wich is amazing

it's now 630 pp and no more iPods. it's a bit sad to see rising prices and diminishing services all over and the excuse is always COVID.

price is now 600 pesos without the iPod virtual tour guides. during summer you can enter parts of it from 20:00 to 21:00 and the light show starts at 21:00. does not include entrance during the day

No longer free with the entrance ticket to the ruins. We paid $510 MXN per person (bought tickets online). It was very cool — if you want to see the ruins but don’t want to visit in the heat of the day or with massive crowds, the night tour is a good alternative.

They give you an iPod with a self guided tour in many languages (bring your own headphones!!!) and you can do a semi-directed walk around the main ruins that are lit up with big lights. After 45m/1hr you sit for a projection light show on the main temple/Castillo. When you buy your tickets you chose your seats. Chose a seat as far to the right and as close to the front as possible (seating is not quite centered on the temple). If you brought headphones you can listen to a translation of the show on the iPod.

It’s all very nicely done and well organized. We were surprised and impressed by the production quality. Bring bug spray and headphones. It’s a lot of money for a short tour, but it was worth it for us to skip the big big crowds and the soul crushing heat of May. Also bonus, very few souvenir vendors.

FREE night show (similar to Sound&Light) in the archeological site of Chichen Itza. It starts everyday at 8 in the evening. You get your FREE vouchers either from your hotel or at the cashiers in Chichen Itza, you do an online reservation at nochesdekululkan.com (go to Reserva tu Lugar on top left of the website, enter your voucher, make your booking and get a printscreen of your invitation/barcode in your phone/tablet). After 6:30 in the afternoon, just show up at the cashiers, show your booking code and get your FREE tickets! We did the booking at noon of the same day and there was still 490 tickets available. Only few people know and there is no announcement, poster or ads. The show is in Spanish!
