Something not right?

Description

Primitive campground near the river with vault toilet and trash/recycling facilities. 9 sites, not much room to park a vehicle, somewhat rough road to access but our 22 ft camper van with 2wd did okay. lovely lakeside beach not too far away. campsite is $20 currently and need a pass to enter the larger park area (national parks pass works). Campsite itself is quiet and shady.

Report Check-In

Got here late (around 8p) there was one other car at Site 9, a 2015ish Civic that was tent camping. There is a gravel road to get in but it’s not bad, and obviously a civic can make it just fine. Not a bad overnight spot or somewhere to spend a few days. I stayed at Site 6 right next to the river but it was raining all morning so I didn’t get to enjoy it. Couldn’t get the recreation.gov website to work because of intermittent AT&T service & the QR code they have for you to scan wasn’t scanning. I didn’t end up paying and no one bothered me. I’d imagine during high season it would be a problem, but in mid February this was the only site that was even open along the 299.

Nice spot #9 by the river. $20 for the night and three bars LTE with Verizon. Not for big rigs but Brandy CG would work. Vans, cars, tents here.

Recycle, Trash and toilets. Right by the water and close to the Lake. Not bad for one night for me.

Visitor center was nice and the employees were very helpful!
