Nice place. Beautiful grounds overall. Dogs are great, and contrary to my initial concerns didn't make any noise overnight.
The owners are lovely. The mezcal is some of the best I've ever had.
Only downside is that it's far away from town, and there are no convenient food options.
Despite it being a very busy week in town, where other campgrounds are full, I am here by myself. It's a very peaceful place.

There are few words to describe this oasis. And the few words that exist likely will not do it justice. What Tony and Rebecca have built here is like no other overlander campground. They actually started the campground recently. This is otherwise a BnB type property. They have campers stay down by the agave farm. It's so serene and quiet. Some of the best Mexico van sleep we've had. Their property is also a dog sanctuary. Rebecca rescues and rehabilitates dogs. Tony makes his own mezcal and drinks it every afternoon at 5pm along with Federico and Herman, the property help, while playing poker. All are welcome! We ended up staying five nights. The property is 30 minutes from Oaxaca City center, so plan your days accordingly. It's 300 mxn a night — great deal! The cool water showers feel heavenly during the mid morning heat.

Tony and Rebecca have quite the beautiful property, full with (about) 20 dogs at the moment. My dog and I loved the morning dog walk at 7am. Really amazing views from their little trails as well. Everyone staying their is super friendly.

Really nice couple. Rebecca helped me with some vaccinations for my dog and called their vet to come for a house visit to get sorted for crossing the border into Guatemala.

Cold shower is super refreshing and the bathroom area is quite well made. I camped down at the agave field.

$300 / night per vehicle. I never pay this much to camp, but seeing how happy my pup was hanging with all the other dogs, and seeing how many dogs they are rescuing and caring for made it more than worth it. Even stayed two nights! Rebecca and Tony are doing awesome work and providing an amazing home for the dogs until they get adopted.

If you don’t already have a dog and camp here, fair warning you will probably end up adopting one! 😊 if you have a dog or just love dogs, definitely come for a night 👍🏼

This place was wonderful. The morning hike with the rescue dogs should not be missed.

HI Folks,
Anthony Raab here...Just a few corrections:

Report Check-In

Been here a few nights, love the place and the hosts.

We need not to sell the place, the hosts or the purpose of rescuing dogs.

We need to add that no one should randomly stop in. They are not set up for camping completely and being that they got mentioned on IIoverlander, they have become popular.

Simple composting toilets, water and they are very welcoming. Beautiful landscape

7am dog walks are the best, our dogs enjoy the tour as well.

CALL IN ADvANCE, make sure they are able to host 🤙🏻✌🏻

I'm so thankful to have found this place and made such wonderful connections with Tony and Rebecca and their neighbors. They are generous with their services and time and are inclusive without being invasive. There are multiple camp spots for rigs. I had no problems with my 22' C Class other than a low branch which they promptly removed so I could park. 15 AMP electric available with an extension cord. Laundry and utility sink available. The camp has a composting toilet in a comfortable and clean outhouse. Internet is best near the cabanas. I was the only camper so they let me use the pool. GORGEOUS landscaping and phenomenal interior decorating in the beautiful homes. Serene and safe and my dogs loved the freedom and dog friends. A short walk to convenience stores but a tedious ride to Oaxaca City using public transit. Taxi drivers in the city don't want to drive to the house but they will get you close. Owners also let me tag along when they drove into town for errands. Stellar humans who will help you with anything you need. 50 acres of nature to explore.

What a great place to stay. It’s the perfect place to enjoy Oaxaca city but also enjoy nature whether green and peaceful or four-legged and playful. :) Rebecca and Tony are very welcoming and take care of you, but they also let you enjoy your own space.

Amazing spot. Rebecca and tony were lively hosts. We parked our RV for a week there and our dog had fun with their pack of sweet dogs. May take a second for them to get used to your dog but they become friends.
Careful or you may leave with an adorable puppy ;)

Absolutely loved this place! Adorable owners. Rebecca takes care of stray dogs. We joined every morning walk with the pack. Our dog loved it.
We ended up getting one of their puppies.:))

Tony is making his own Mezcal. Loved it!

Place is perfect to hang around Oaxaca for some days or even weeks. Beautiful nature around the hacienda. We stayed 10 days. Would have loved to stay longer.

Thanks Rebecca and Tony. One day we come back with Lotta and Marley

We stayed three days at this lovely property. I would call it an informal campsite as you can park on their driveway and use the amenities. They make their own mezcal, have some donkeys and when the big house is not rented out you can also use the pool! When we were here they only had two pups for adoption, but the week before they had 10. Luckily, they have also nine dogs of their own so plenty of cuddles. Your dog is welcome here, but give them some time to get used to each other.

We paid $200 per night. It's best to call or text ahead. Enjoy your stay here!
