Description

The selling point of this place is its location in both vistas at the Cuernos del Paine and the proximity to various points of interest in the NP. About 15 sites are west of the road and don't have much of a view but are mostly sheltered from the wind (e.g. 11). About 30 sites are east of the road and some have fantastic views but not much wind protection (e.g. 45 .. 47). Each site has a very basic shelter and a table/bench combination with BBQ and garbage bin. Blocks with hot and comfy showers, paper and soap in the toilets. Don't try to make reservations, you will probably never get a confirmation. Electricity available in reception. CH$12,000 per person. good value. Restaurant open only in high season.

Indeed we stayed in the upper part because the lower was full, but only the toilets were sort of functioning; the rest of the infrastructure is very damaged, we doubt they will get that part in service this season. The view is spectacular.

Report Check-In

Super campsite. Nice hot showers, clean bathroom. At the moment the east site is closed (top few people). west site has good wind protection. Nice people. They sell coffee and cake in the shop and some groceries. 12.000 pp is worth the money.

Report Check-In

tried to book online and the rest of march was X’d out/unavailable. didn’t stop in to check. not sure if they are closed for the season or what the deal is

Report Check-In

The campsite is one of the most beautiful places to see the sunset and great to start day trips. On the other hand, washrooms are bad - no hot water most of the time, electricity the same.. You have to decide: Landscape or comfort. But as soon as you are there, that decision is easy. To the question before: The website always says nothing available, as it isnt working. Just go there and ask, they had many places left in early march.

Report Check-In

fantastic view, esspecially in the eastern part! not crowded at all. In the evening, showers were not warm at all, but in the morning they were really hot.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for 2 nights and had an amazing view. The campground is pretty quiet and not crowded. We believe it's a much better choice than the camping central. Each campspot has it's own shelter and a fire pit. The bathrooms were OK clean. Yes, its expensive (12.000 pp) but in comparison to 20.000 pp for the camping central its much better and you get more for your money.

Report Check-In

we only stopped for a shower. Bathrooms are not the cleanest, but the showers were actually nice. costs 2000 p.P. which we found ok considering that it's in a national park and some fuel station ask similar prices.

Report Check-In

You can have a nice hot shower here without staying in the camping. You just need to pay 2000 pesos per person at the reception. Knowing this, I find very sad to see that some people are still very proud to sneak it.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for 2 nights. Close to the parking lot of the ferry to Lago Grey. We did not camp on the parking lot as the winds were too strong. Toilets not really clean, should be as price is high 12.000pp. Showers hot. Place to wash the dishes. Shelter for cooking. Not all places good for campers.

Report Check-In

Campsite in Torres del Paine NP and close to get to Paine Grande / harbour.
Many spots for campers and for people with tent. Small wooden huts at most campspots incl. Picknick table and carbagge container.
Abolution block with hot water, toiletpaper and soap. Wifi (slow) & small supermarket at reception.
We had no problems with the wind.

Price: 24.000 for 2 persons and a car

Report Check-In

Good place. Many facilities, but the price for us is very expensive. We paid $12000 pesos for each person. Wifi was unavailable.
------------
Bom lugar, muito boa estrutura, mas preço bem elevado. Pagamos $12 mil pesos por pessoa. Wifi estava indisponível.

Report Check-In

Really nice campsite with a great playground for kids. European price and standard. Wifi is working only around the reception.

Report Check-In

Camping with sites. Those are for tent or to cook, or motorhome. Big rig possible. We’re roof tent with wind protection. Good baths&warm shower. Place for wash dishes. Restaurant and store. Good place.

Report Check-In

Very nice place and beautiful surroundings. It has nice hot and clean showers (bit shocked that some people wrote how proud they are to sneak in to have a free shower and not pay the 4000chp... I mean a nice warm shower in the middle of a national park has a price)
Unlike the main description here, I found the place pretty well maintained.

Report Check-In

very nice owner-of course, due to winter time some facilities have been closed- nevertheless he enabled after some special works in his water system to spend water for our camper without extra charge! the owner gave additional advises for nice places and views-we recommend this camp [email protected]

Report Check-In

Nice camping ground for both the tent and campervan. Maintained facilities. Both bathrooms and showers are clean. Previous price not honored. Its up to 11,000 CP ppn. No charge for the van. Parilla, trash bins and table and bench included. Steep but a nice shower and adequate location is the price you have to pay.

Report Check-In

Like josi write, go to the second building and take a free shower ... no one care about it. Park your car at The parking for the condor hike it’s 5 min to walk in. The first building was closed. The second open with very hot showers but not perfect clean. And toilet paper.

Report Check-In

We have a rooftoptent and we asked for wind shelter we got place 21. This was nice. In the evening there was a Puma at the campspot on the other side of the road. Just watching everything and sometimes changing his spot to lay down. It was a bit of a scare. But the boss of the camping said we were really lucky to see it so close. Just always be at least with 2 adult persons when walking by. The food is nice but really expensive in the restaurant. The walk to the Condor Mirador is doable with a child (4 yr) 1.5 hour return. Very windy on top but a really beautifull view.

Report Check-In

Good place to stay in torres del paine. Perfect views, amazing sunrise! Might need to level your car camper. Hot showers ok. Stayed here for two nights.

Report Check-In

We stayed on the grassy place without no right before campsite No 46. This was the best place to have the perfect view on the lake and on the mountains. Showers are hot and ok but not very clean.

Report Check-In

you can have a free shower here, Just walk in the opposite side of the reception building. There are two bathrooms, when we were there the first one was closed but the second one was opened. No one cared about us

at the reception was a pricelist, you can have the same for 4.000 chp ;)

Report Check-In

really beautiful view of the camping. Wifi doesn't Work well, bathrooms ok.

Report Check-In

On the plus side I saw 2 pumas stroll through the campsite in the middle of the day. On the downside a rat kept me awake chewing stuff and trying to get in my tent until I gave in and moved plot at 2.30am! It’s chewed the handlebar grips on my bicycle to shreds, not happy!

Report Check-In

Campsite with a beautiful view! We hiked the condor mirador and the cuernos mirador. The last one gives you beautiful views of the mountains and the blue lakes.

Report Check-In

Stunning views, really hot shower, clean bathrooms with toilet paper, every plot has a shelter, bench and parilla. Really great campsite. WiFi after 9pm is just about ok for WhatsApp messages but nothing else. Shop sells chocolate, biscuits etc and some dehydrated camping food for 10,000chp each. No electricity in public places but the lady in reception plugged my battery pack in overnight.

Report Check-In

See other descriptions.
klean and hot shower/bathroom.
Yes, expensive but everything in the park is expensive.
22000 2 pax + travelcar.

Report Check-In

I was lucky there was no wind. I stayed at nr. 45. the view was perfect, showers.hot and clean. Wi-Fi only works from 9pm. it's via satellite so it's not so good, but it's free. at the other campgrounds in the parks you pay 10Usd for 8 hours. I loved it. But you can just go the the mirador condor without a car.

Report Check-In

Filled our caravan water tanks here. There’s a water tap and hose next to reception and a tap with threaded outlet near the first toilet block. Just check it’s potable, our fill included lots of organic matter.

Report Check-In

spent the night here after doing the condor mirador. nobody came to collect our money at the far shelters. level spot with nice view of the torres.
the furthest toilet block is good with hot showers.

Report Check-In

Way to expensive for what it is. No power, no wifi, card machine didn't work, one toilet block closed due to lack of water and tepid water in the shower in the other. Only one shower worked properly and the soap dispensers in both toilets appeared to be full but none would come out. It is impossible to get anywhere near level in some of the camp spots and these were the only ones available to us. We put our roof tent up on a level spot and were invited to join someone's fire. Fortunately the skies were blue with a fantastic view, but we moved on after one night.

Report Check-In

Nice campsite. Shelter, table and fire pit for every spot, hot showers, clean toilets and there is a place for laundry. Still 11000pp. wifi and credit card often not working
The booking system is crazy - they have no idea of what they are doing. So come early to be sure you get a spot (first arrived first served).

Report Check-In

Beautiful location with famous view onto the Cuernos. Few kilometers down the road from the catamaran to Paine Grande where you can do day hikes to glacier Grey or the breathtaking valley Frances. Each spot has its own shelter big enough for a two person tent and the provided table. Bathroom facilities are heated and clean with a wonderfully hot shower. WiFi. On-site restaurant open from 8-10pm. Paid 11000 per person/night. Highly recommended.

Report Check-In

Very good. Beautiful view of Los Cuernos. Very friendly owner. Nice hike nearby (Condor's lookout). Hot showers, toilets, restaurant, wifi (at reception). We were very protected from the wind (with our rooftop tent).

Report Check-In

Nice spot with glorious views for some sites. Nice clean bathrooms with very hot water. Good wifi. Small store for snacks and a restaurant on the site. Watch out for the big overland tour buses. They arrive every couple of nights and completely take over the campground with no regard for your personal space.

Report Check-In

Tourism office at both Puerto Natales and the office in the parking lot of Sendero Torres told us this campsite was free. Also, a local we met who was riding his motorcycle through the park (and had a tour agency in Pto Nat) told us it was free. We drove there but it wasn't. 11000clp per person and 5500 for kids 5-11yrs. We are a family of 5 so decided not to camp there. As it was late we parked just outside in a trailhead parking lot. If you are self contained you can pretty much free camp anywhere in the Park. Tents, not so much.

Report Check-In

Tourism office in punta arenas told us all campsites here are booked out- it was hard to believe as we were in shoulder season so took a chance. No issues campsite was mostly empty. Warm showers, bbq pits, wifi very slow at reception only. Guy at reception didn't want to give password till 9pm probably because of day stoppers but pushed a little and he typed it in - wifi was terribly slow but we needed for work. Views from our window amazing. Small walk to gorgeous laguna and cute animals. Good stop for a night.

Report Check-In

Nice campsite with everything you need

Report Check-In

About 40 basic campsites: good wind/rain shelter, table with benches, fire pit. Well protected against fierce winds. Central block with toilets, hot (!) showers, dish washing. Maintenance issues mentioned in other posts seem to be resolved: everything well maintained, clean, and functioning. Expensive: 10000 per person. Some sites close to road but little to no traffic at night, little traffic by day. Great views of Cuernos from some sites (eg nr 45 and 46) and from nearby (5 min walk) viewpoint at lake.

Report Check-In

Grassy campground at Lake Pehoe that is of a just crazy colour. Camp areas on both sides of the road. Only a few cars. Quiet at night and great views. Well maintained and clean. Shelters and BBQs at every site. Clean toilets and showers with hot water. Sinks for laundry/dishes with hot water. No wifi. But who needs it there. Lots of animals around. Recommended! Safe travels!

Report Check-In

Very good campsite with a lot of wind protection, shelters, picnic tables, a restaurant (parrilla) and small shop. Hot showers and good WiFi.
Nice view on the mountains (if no clouds :-)) and centrally located for walks in the park.
Very helpful staff, but... not cheap (10.000 chilean pesos per adult, 5.000 for kids under 12).

Report Check-In

A painful $20,000 for two, but sheltered with beautiful views as others have noted! Close to the road, but traffic noise is pretty minimal. 6km down the road from the Lago Pehoe ferry.

Report Check-In

The selling point of this place is its location in both vistas at the Cuernos del Paine and the proximity to various points of interest in the NP. However, in every other regard Camping Rio Serrano is better or much better. At Camping Pehoe I never got so much as a reply for three attempts to make a reservation (via the reservation form on their website http://campingpehoe.com, via email, via a detailed message on their voicemail during business hours), the wind shelters are impractical, fire pits rudimentary, shower blocks were without hot water ("the gas ran out" -- well, how about replacing the gas container?), etc. Besides being more expensive (CLP 10.000 vs. 7.000 pp) and not well maintained at all (sites with uncut grass, rubbish in fire pits, benches falling apart, etc.), in one block the showers were hot and good, there was paper and soap in the toilet.

Report Check-In

Nice place, lots of birds flying around (might be good for bird watching, saw a couple of swiss people with huge cameras tracking them down). Clean and hot showers. However, price is really high - it was now 10 000clp per person.

Report Check-In

The2Dutch. Place looks Good, but too expensive 10.000 P P/P . So we left.

Report Check-In

One of the most beautiful campsites with great views! (Especially at the higher spots, number 30-36). Very clean bathrooms and hot showers. Worth the price of 9000pesos pp. Also some wifi near the reception.

Report Check-In

The price is a ridiculous 9000 pesos per person here, but they have decent wind block at many sites (we were in #44) and the views are insanely good at some sites. Slow wifi in the office. BBQ pits and potable water available at the sites. We saw a fox running through the campground, so don't leave food out and about. If the wind is not bad, there are lots of free places you can park around here for free, but most are totally exposed. This place is ideal for tent campers or people like us who the wind finally wins after 3 nights of boondocking.

Report Check-In

Great views from this campsite. WiFi, clean toilets and hot water! 8000 pesos pp.

Report Check-In

With shelters and hot showers this was the logical option for us. We saw one other campground that had no shelters and would have been exposed to the fierce wind, making camping very uncomfortable. However, the cost at this place is a little bit crazy. Electricity available in reception.

Report Check-In

a bit expensive but good location, restaurant, nice pitches

Report Check-In

Amenities: 3 / cost: 5 / quality: 4. Recently remodeled and expensive. There are fire pits (with grills), picnic tables and wind shelters. But you’ve got to buy overpriced firewood from admin for your fire. Basically what you’re looking at here is an $18 hot shower with an outstanding view. Camp at the spots across the road for views that will make you forget about the price. Restaurant (parilla) on site.

CH$8,000 per person.
