This is an amazing view of pikes Peak, definitely worth the drive down the dirt road, just go slow. There’s only one sort of bad section, but it’s only about 5 yards worth of bumps in gullies. We stayed up at the top. Had a nice flat spot. You need to be careful of glass, however People don’t pack in and pack out I guess, I tried to pick up as much of the garbage as I could, but I couldn’t do much with the glass. Internet was no problem at all could stream Netflix and also had a chance to upload videos to YouTube, so upload and download speeds are great.

Lots of the spots have been totally trashed! Please clean up after yourself and others so we don’t lose these spots.

A really great spot. Super easy to get into and incredible views!

quite a few spots past the gulch trail head. Perfectly good road, only a few pot holes and rocks to watch out for. 3 bars of 5g VZW. Awesome views in some spots but you can see Pikes from pretty much anywhere. The camping area past this one is currently full of logger trailers and equipment.

Beautiful view! Road was very washboarded and many sites require a lot of blocking. Great signal with Verizon.

Long dirt road that’s very washboarded, but also pretty close to town. Lots of camping, but most are fairly close together. Was pretty full over the weekend. Nearby trailhead and creek. Good cell reception with Verizon. Amazing views!

Beautiful views. Easy access to town. 26’ Skoolie made it with no worries 😃. Great cell service. Stunning sunsets.

Awesome spot down a very bumpy washboard road. A lot of people up here so get ready to be cozy. Excellent service with att. Some sites need a lot of blocks to level so be prepared.

Report Check-In

Great spot. Lots of available places to camp. Okay cell service att and Verizon. Not all are level. Blocks recommend. Busy. Beautiful views.

Imoortant note. If you stay in the spot across the Trailhead which is before this spot, don't venture out down the hill into the woods. Was looking for a cat hole to dig, and stumbled upon what seemed like a group of 3 homeless people sleeping on the dirt floor. Bunch if human poop around and they were clearly set up. Be safe out there.

Nice level spots you don’t need a 4WD or high clearance to get to most of the spots. Stayed here two nights and had no problems. Beautiful views of pikes peak.

Great quiet views! A number of large places right off the rampart road with great access!

Super beautiful views. I get 1-3 bars reception on AT&T. Easy drive on gravel road.

Absolutely beautiful spot to stay. fire pits around and planety of space. bumpy road, my SUV handled it just fine. 3 bars Verizon.

Report Check-In

Excellent place with plenty of spots. I was able to go all the way to the end and be completely isolated. Most spots have a fire pit. Only one other RV there when I was there. As others have said, take your time on the road.

Stayed just right up the road from this one big fire pit large open area with a little path to a better lookout. Stayed here to watch the new years fireworks on pikes peak which was awesome. Many people pulled through until at least midnight but no one bothered us just cruising on the weekend . Would spend more time here if more snow wasn’t coming. I had 5g but sometimes it got spotty. Road was very washboard but beyond that easy to get down

Washboard road, all the spots were taken so we had to turn around at 7pm. Best to get here early to secure a spot.

Washboard roads found, just take it slowly. Beautiful views!! Shared a pretty large area with another camper, they were ok with it and so was I. I live in North Dakota…this was a top 5 ever campsite for me.
Good reception, no toilet (had my own), fire pit x2 in our area, quiet.

Tried staying at any of these spots, but every single one was taken on Sunday evening around 5:30pm. So we ended up driving to the FS campground ($25 a night) but was totally worth it. Thunder Ridge Campground. There is also another campground right before this one (does not really show on the map) that had quite a few sites available. Big rigs friendly in both FS campground.
Pit toilets, super clean, nice camp host. Amazing views of the reservoir. Water available.
