Report Check-InI was happy to read the niki's comment on 2022-05-08 about police approval to stay for the night, but felt cheap to class B RV for the night beside a "Day use only" sign ! i went on toward Caddy flats campground.
Report Check-Instayed here in my 22ft motorhome no problem. there was only one other van there and i could tell they weren’t happy that i pulled in at 11pm but a campers gotta do what a campers gotta do. only 17-18 mins from Ouray with 1-2 bars of LTE
Report Check-InNice spot, quiet. Sign says "day use only" but I didn't have a problem. Privy was clean and even had toilet paper. Verizon had one bar.
Report Check-InGorgeous views, clean lot and toilet, wide driveway, quiet. I didn't see the note about day use only until it was too late to hunker down elsewhere, but didn't fret due to note about police saying it was okay to stay. Squad came through as it got dark. There looks to be someone staying extended so hopefully this spot won't become enforced. We were startled by a bird flopping on the roof at dawn but otherwise undisturbed. Cyclists come and go with the light.
1-2 bars ATT. Enough to check news and text but that's about it.
Nice parking area at the base of this trailhead. There were two other vans here the night I stayed with room for a few more. Single port-a-potty at location.

Report Check-InPerfect spot for a night! I had to leave in the morning but I wish I had checked out the trail. There was one other van staying as well that night. Great mountain views!
Report Check-InTrailhead with a porta potty. Incredible views. No signs prohibiting overnight parking, but trail map says the trails are a day use area. We stayed with no problem based on the previous reviewer who stated policeman said it was fine. No trashcan.
