Stayed for a night and it was really nice. not completely flat but not bad at all. Tiny bit of local traffic but on the whole really peaceful.
Report Check-InWe arrived around 9 pm and left around 5:30 am. The area was very quiet except for the local residents coming and going. You could hear the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks and see the stars in the night sky. We even saw shooting stars and glimpses of the Milky Way. Overall, it was not a bad place to stop for the night. Our truck was parked on level ground. No one disturbed us during our stay. Please keep the area clean for future travelers. There’s no service download Magic Earth or Organic Maps for offline maps!
The positives were:
• The opportunity to see shooting stars in the night sky
• Catching glimpses of the Milky Way
• Hearing the soothing sounds of the ocean waves at night
Great night! Cars pass by, but quiet overnight. Fairly steep uphill drive to get there but not too bad. Not perfectly level but not bad enough to bother me. I actually think I had an encounter with the gold suburban lady from the reviews of the spot near here…I was in the back of the van so didn’t see, but someone slowed down to honk repeatedly at me. Given - this was around 9am and I probably should have left by then, but I struggle with being a morning person.

Report Check-In2+ pull offs on this steep road. NPS property so no disturbing the landscape but a great place to get some altitude and see the ocean and sunset. A couple handfuls of cars going up and down the mountain but not a disturbance to us
