nice place, stayed in a hut on the roof for 800/ night (2 people)
Both single beds came with a mosquito net, which we were very thankful for!
shared shower and toilet, which don't have a roof, but that's definitely not a bad thing.

restaurant available on site, but quite expensive. because of this we didn't have anything, but to be fair, the food did look amazing and if you're not on a tight budget, you should definitely try the food!

they'll also let you use the kitchen if you buy your own food. just keep in mind that they use this same kitchen for their restaurant so it can be quite busy if you try to use it around dinner time.

It's also possible to pay with revolut here, which was perfect for us!

Great hospitality and welcome. Hot showers and wifi. Good kitchen for making your own food. There is a restaurant in the auberge. Supermarket nearby. I came in the taxi from the bus stop. Taxi knew exactly where the auberge is. Good, clear signage outside. I have only just arrived, so cannot comment further. Thanks Sebastian.

Great place, allowed me to park my motorbike whilst doing the iron ore train. 600 for a tent with a fan. Relaxing atmosphere. Lots of room to park bikes and safe parking on the quiet road for cars.

Decent accommodation and nice place to relax, but the staff are beyond useless and can't even manage a "merci". The other travellers make this place what it is, but the owner really needs to get competent staff in.
Locking everyone upstairs at night isn't just a pain when you're trying to leave early, it could easily cause death in the event of fire. Expected more from a French-owned place.

pleasant auberge with shaded seating areas, and really tasty food. Helpful owners and staff. only disappointment was that the same room had gone from 1200 to 1600 on the second visit.

Incredibly cute guesthouse that is run exceptionally well. Tents (~15 USD) are fabulous although get quite hot during the day. A/C room 1200 MRU (approx $30 USD) per night. Decent wifi and plenty of space for motorcycles and bikes. Close to American embassy, so if you're coming by public transport ask to be let off at Plaza Americana. Only thing is that this seems to be ground zero for mosquitoes. Heavy-duty repellent recommended.

Be very careful. Nice place and welcoming but they lock you in at night upstairs. I could not get out for 1.5 hours and had to shout over a wall to get someone up. I called and whatsapped. Not good if you have an early start or there was an emergency. Would probably not stay here again as a result.

We loved our stay here. We stayed in a tent on the rooftop, it was quite nice & clean. There are good mosquito nets around the beds and electricity for lightning and charging our devices inside the tents. The rooftop also has some outdoor chairs and sofas, so we could chill and chat to other fellow travellers. Restaurant is a bit overpriced and because we’re travelling for a long time,we didn’t try the food but looked good. There are many vegetarian options which is a rarity in this part of the world!
The wifi is good, the owner (Sebastian) is very attentive and helpful. Location is great, there’s many restaurants, shops and banks within walking distance. We took a taxi from the Carrefour on the main road coming from Senegal to the auberge that cost us 100

Nice place to stay, good organized with good food and drink offers. Worth staying more than for just one night. Sébastien is very helpful and knows a lot of people for anything needed including first class motorbike mechanics who changed my chain and sprockets. Recommendation!

Spent the Christmas Eve here. Got a reservation through booking, the price is increased only by 4 %, discount was applied in our case. Took the tent on the roof (total was ~17,3 €, taken directly from the card). Amazing place, looks really good and even has 4 power plugs inside. In the evening we met with several other groups of travelers staying there and had a great chat with them.

Food and drinks are quite expensive, there are cheaper options for that nearby.

In general a good experience, I would definitely stay there again, if I get to Nouakchott.

Nice place, good place to meet other travelers outside of your „overlanders on a rush“ bubble.
Tents on the roof (15€) are nice and cool during the night, better than a room.
Food very good, but overpriced. Don’t book on booking.com, the price shown is not what will be charged from your account. Definitely cheaper if you show up and pay on the spot. Credit cards accepted, 1€ and 4% fees extra.
Safe parking in the yard, best WiFi we had in Mauritania so far, managed to get many things done.

Be VERY careful here. Sebastian is untrustworthy. Will not honour Booking.com discounts. Behaves aggressively. Don't trust this guy. Rooftop room's are filthy and completely different than described online or in reviews here. Stay elsewhere.

Perfect! as described, as expected! Roof tents 15€/night, nice atmosphere. Rooms up to 35€/night w/bathroom or 25€ with common bathroom.

Arrived very late around 23;00 and they accepted us, think we were the only ones there, it was not the cleanest, mosquitos annoying and it was very hot with the small fan! but peaceful outside area!

A great place to stay in Nouakchott. Sebastien and his team run a wonderful guest house. Different rooms and also Bedouin tents on the roof. Between 15 and 30 euros. Camping with 4x4 equally possible for 10 euros per vehicle/night. Not suitable for big rigs. Food is also served here. Very good cuisine. Recommendable! The Auberge has an artistic Moorish touch, is lovingly decorated, very clean, with cosy seating areas. The security is good. Triskell offers a lot for the money. Sebastien is the contact person and source of information for all questions and tips for travelling in Mauritania. He supports travellers with his years of experience and contacts in the country. He is also involved in exemplary social projects in the country. In short: probably the best place in Nouakchott for travellers!
