Mampata Camp | Established Campground

Avoid this place especially if in a camper. Limited space to park which was just off the road. No shower facilities at all and toilet a hole in ground. Very noisy. Next door police hut kept playing same awful music on loop late into the night. Owner of site talking loudly and playing videos and games also late into the night. Way overcharged. We should have freecamped.
Maybe OK with a tent but otherwise avoid.

for me it was hard to find, because I passed it the first time, and then asked some guys at the gas station, but they didn't know anything about a camping, but a restaurant that was just left on the road to Gandembel. they owner of that place (that looks like it was some sort of camping...) didn't know anything too, but they had rooms for 7500CFA, but very rusty and dirty. The right place is exactly at the GPS coordinates. very nice owner and clean campground. I arrived very late so he only had bread and Omelette, but that was also maybe because I was the only one. 4000CFA for 1 tent. EDIT: You might need to negotiate a little bit.

Very clean campsite. Wanted to have first 10000cfa, then have agreed on 3000. Motorcycle and tent. Toilet is a hole in the ground. Food is spartan but good. Bucket shower.

Basic, very clean campsite. Very friendly owner. Restaurant with local food. Good stopover. Recommended. Gas station nearby.
