Latest Check-Ins

$8 for overnight parking - 4 nights maximum according to the sign. We stayed 1 night. Pretty empty parking lot beside a river - nice view. Quiet though train does go by on the other side of the river but didn’t really bother us. OPP drove thru once but weren’t concerned with us. Much nicer than parking at Walmart!

Report Check-In

Good spot for the night after finding out that the Tunnel Trailhead site in now marked with a No camping sign. Today is Saturday (in July) and the parking is crowded but there is plenty of room. Just want to avoid the back of the building because refrigerating equipment is extremely noisy.

Large parking lot, paid $8 to overnight no issues very quiet. Drove about 10 minutes to Safeway for bathroom and gas stations

Report Check-In

This is a great option in the winter when none of the rest stops are plowed along the highway. The curlers leave by nightfall and then it's very quiet, a few trains. No sketchy characters about, I felt very safe. Not a ton of early morning traffic so you can sleep in a bit.

Just as others have mentioned, it's $8 per night for parking until the following midnight, $8 per night (so we spent $16 for 2 nights). It's a nice spot with no signs saying there is no camping or sleeping overnight allowed. Maximum 4 nights can be paid for in one go. Trains came past a couple of times and are quite close to the spot, so did keep us awake, one around midnight and one early morning but not too bad. It felt like a safe spot with plenty of space and level parking as well.

nice place, parked on the side of the building next to the trees and water. it's $8 and night and max 4 nights. designed for boaters to launch there boats and be away for a few nights. boat docks are nice to walk around. Definitely a nice place. the train did go by a 930pm, hope it the last one for the night, time will tell.

Report Check-In

Update on the overnight stay, did not take notice of the train tracks across the water. Four trains last night so not unbearable but did wake us.

This is a Parking Lot for the Area Arena/Curling Rink. Overnight Parking is allowed for a fee of $8.00 CND. This night that we are here the fee machine is taped up so am unable to pay. Quiet, close to the water so walk is available.
