BLM recently constructed campground, with ample biking and hiking trail system. Roughly 13 sites with nice picnic tables and fire rings. All are back-in , RV-friendly sites. We paid $5 per night w/o a senior discount pass. There are a couple sticks of Verizon cell coverage. Was a half mile of good gravel road, and close proximity to Cedar City, UT. Has garbage, and bike tools, but no water or dump. Oh, clean pit toilet complete with paper.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Very nice campground. It’s reservation only, no way to pay at the camp ground. Must use the scam known as rec.gov. $12 / $6 (access) for site and another 8 dollars just thrown away to corporate America contractor.
Showed up, all sites were taken on rec.gov but campground was empty. Waited around till 8pm to see if anyone showed up or canceled online. 2/3 campers showed up, but insane windstorm kept the place empty. Multiple vanlifers showed up frustrated with scene. Spots available but can get a site.
Report Check-InLike others stated - great campground and very easy to get to from I-15 and close to Cedar City should you need anything. Unfortunately it was Columbus Day weekend so the Pit Toilet was out of paper but luckily I always travel with a roll to share!
Report Check-InCost is $12 plus $8 reservation fee which is just a way to add cost. $20 per night and no applicable discounts. Pit toilet was full of flies!! You can hear the buzzing going on! No water. Over priced for what it is.
Report Check-InQuiet campground just at the start of a Mtn Bike trailhead. We pulled in late and left early, but we’re happy with a flat site and pit bathrooms.
Report Check-InSuper camping w/ trees near Cedar City, easy to access and very quiet
Maybe home construction underway near entrance
As described. Book online 5+8 $13 for the night. Fairly quiet and close to Cedar City. Two bars Verizon. Some spots have a little shade which is nice. Pit toilet and dumpster so bring your water with you.
Report Check-InAs described. Cost is $13, as all sites must be reserved online which adds $8 reservation fee. No discount for access or senior national parks passes.
Road up was totally clear but campground had some snow when I arrived. Luckily, this didn't have the kind of mud that becomes undrivable when wet.
This place looks like it gets VERY full of mountain bikers when not muddy. There's a nice bike stand with tools by the pit toilet.
I got good Verizon coverage while there. Had a hour-long Zoom meeting with no problem. Sometimes it would drop to 1 bar 4g but usually 2-3 bars. Of course, there were only two other people when I was up there so if it's crowded YMMV.
Report Check-InVery nice. Pit toilets here. Far enough from the highway you won’t hear it and easy to get to.
Report Check-Invery nice campground with wiew on the mountain. No water , No shows, pic-nic table and toilet. One hour from Zion!
Report Check-InClean and quiet but the price with reservation fees is 13 a night.
Report Check-InTrekkin is spot on. This is a great little campground. Windy, but with grass and gravel, the dust is minimal. Spots are varying sizes and level so not all rigs will easily fit depending on availability. We use a 30’ fifth wheel so about half the sites were too short for us. Trees are rig high so solar is viable.
