15 campsites high on a bluff with near 360° views. Each has a picnic table and fire ring. Sites are well spaced and pretty private. There are some junipers which provides some privacy. The nearby easy Walk in Time hike is about a mile and a half and educational with some interesting views of dinosaur bones. fair to good Verizon signal.

Must reserve campsite for overnight stay. Easy on/off I-70. Paved gravel roads to well maintained campsites. Quiet. Stayed at site 13 at end of road. Great views.
Report Check-InThe free campsite isn't free. It's the $20/night reservations only campsite now. Spontaneity killer
Report Check-InWe had a great afternoon and evening. One other camper about 300 ft away. Almost no road noise. super clean bathroom. We attempted to pay but system was not working. Views were awesome.
Report Check-InNo longer free as of this year. $20/night

Absolutely gorgeous on a cold night with a full moon. High on my list of favorites!
Report Check-InAbsolutely beautiful, with huge views and clean campsites, but overrun by mice. I tried two different sites and had mice in the engine block within hours. None of the “repellants” or other deterrents worked. If you’re at one of the farther sites, you’ll have less highway noise but a longer hike to the toilet.
Report Check-InOne of my favorite camp spots, just off freeway up on a mesa above Rabbit Valley.
Report Check-Inwe picked site 15 at the end of the campground. it's beautiful and not near the other sites. views are excellent, it's quiet except for only a little noise from I70.
Report Check-InNote: you can get your self issue camping permit at the campground. Fantastic view! Good AT&T.
We drove 26’ rv up to campground, no problem. Dry conditions.
