Description

Nice spot where locals come and swim, shaded and secluded only one flat spot, under a tree. Cleared land in front of some houses. lots of bird life. water is a bit warm. some rubbish but the water is good. Police came by and said it's safe and ok to camp It's some cleared land in front of two properties. looks like government land. very quiet just local tourists and fishermen. not many flat locations, except one 50m further under a tree. there are sandflies - wear pants and shoes.

We arrive quite late(6:30pm) no entry fee to Laguna de apoyo neither the spot, one of the owners said that it was ok to camp, not a lot of flat spot but you can manage it. Quite night with the sound of the laguna. (Wild camping)

This is not free. You have to enter the national park and pay 50 cordobas.

Beautiful spot! Spent the day here on a Sunday. We had another 4 cars from locals and very quiet even so. Didn’t stay the night, as I was going to the Capital.

Report Check-In

You need 4x4 to come here! We made it on the rough road but the last 100m are down a very steep uneven track with lots of holes.
We had to turn around, very sad as looks like a beautiful spot

Nice place to sleep one night . You can park 5 meters from the water. No too dirty around and water was great. Bring your own stuff so you can have a nice bbq close to the water.

Great place for a night. Super nice little beach and nice shady spot to park your rig. You will not make it down here if you have a tall rig because of the trees. Our friends couldn’t make it. The groundskeeper of the property above the beach is really nice and turned all the security lights on for us. This place is awesome for dogs to run around too! And it’s all freeeee! Enjoy!

we stayed here two nights, it's beautiful.
we were about 50 meter further than this gps point.
you can park under a tree.
some locals hanging around, but even on a weekend not full.
the water is clear, the lagune is very steep and in total 175m deep.

Really nice spot to camp and swim. Surprisingly, no mosquitos, at least in April.

Beautiful spot if you don't mind typical Nicaraguan trash lying around. We did a quick beach and under water clean up to fully enjoy the beauty of this lagoon. Super quiet at night, just some locals swimming or fishing during day. Lots of sandflys though ;( FREE.

Attention, il est bien noté que ce n'est pas pour les bigs rigs et c'est vraiment le cas, ne vous y aventurez surtout pas en camping car!
