I didn't like first two iOverlander sites so we kept driving towards next site when I saw this spot. It is nice spot off the road. We backed in rather than driving forward in to make it easy on ourselves when we leave. Our rig is a 2011 GMC Sierra 3500HD, full cab (4 doors), 8ft long bed, with a 8 ft slide in TC. There's a fair amount of trash around here from people using it as target shooting which irritated the heck out of us. Please... Pack it in and pack it out! Besides the litter, we are happy with this spot even though it is raining ;-)
1 - 2 bar cell service here. I am not sure how suitable this spot would be for a bigger rig. Use your best judgment. Take a look at 2 pictures that I've uploaded. Happy camping!
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
I stayed here two nights. It's a small side road that loops around the pond, but you can only enter/exit through one way. Small vehicles could turn around, but probably nothing bigger. There's a small creek downhill, and a big flat spot uphill that would be cool for tents. Only issues were toilet trash and a lot of burn trash. It's old and off to the side, but filled with glass, metal, plastic, etc. The second morning, some asshole pulled up and shot his gun VERY close to my dog. I'm not sure what he was shooting at, but he sped off quickly right after. I packed up and left. Good spot, but be careful. Lots of cute banana slugs!
Report Check-InAbsolutely filthy! Piles of feces topped with toilet paper amongst lots of spent ammunition. Needless to say, we moved on.
