Pulled in to the (closed) motel parking lot behind a sheriff car and asked him about parking overnight there and he said it was private property and had a no trespassing order on it but directed us to the old visitor center through the parking lot instead.
Report Check-Inmotel is closed but has a caretaker. visitor center is better. BUT be advised it is popular (3 - 5 cars) at sunset, teenagers hanging out until midnight, and a lot of traffic through the night. I'd go to Walmart if I knew how much activity would occur throughout the night.
