Description

Rest area with a turn-out on the side of the highway.
Self-contained only unless you don’t need a potty.
There are no bathrooms or water. Only trash and picnic tables.
At first glance it looks unattractive for a good sleep, but the lane closest to the turnout is basically unusable since a few feet ahead it turns into a one-way road. No one used the westbound lane, which is closest to the rest area turnout.
Probably only a dozen cars used the eastbound lane in the twelve hours I hung out here.

MDOT website says 3 hour max at rest stops, but this rest area location was not listed on their website so I assume it is compliments of the county. There are no signs with hourly/overnight restrictions.
There is a sign that says Commercial Vehicles Excluded, but when I woke up in the morning, there was a truck parked, as well as two other cars and another camper van.
