Good spots but if 2WD be warned: even if it seems a little wet don't risk it. At first the gravel road seems fine but at one point it turns into thick mud as you're driving downhill. We were sliding around everywhere in our transit and had to stop on the road to avoid getting stuck. There was no way we were getting out so had to stay the night on the road and get out when the mud was frozen in the morning.

Carrefull! When it’s wet (it snowed a bit this morning) the road is really bad. We reached the spot with our 4x4 high clearance but we left because we did not feel safe to drive back the day after. Easy to stay stock in the mud or hit a tree.

Road is bumpy at the beginning, but easily doable with our 2wd 2005 Toyota Sienna minivan as it was dry. I don't think it would have been the same with rainy conditions...
Loads of nice spots here, very crowded the two nights we spent here on late october, there was soooo many hunting campgrounds.
We felt safe, the spot was level, and it was quiet (apart from the ATVs at dawn and dusk).

Cross the cattleguard and follow the dirt road up a bit. When the road forks take the left fork. Follow that road (it will be bumpy for about 5 minutes, then it is grooved from where others have driven on it before and worn it down. Just be careful and you will be fine) and you will start to see spots on your right. There is a property on the left and they have a couple of dogs that might be curious enough to come see what you’re up to, one came to visit me both nights I was there, it was friendly and I didn’t have any problems. I didn’t drive much past the property to get a spot, but it seems like the road keeps going and there are plenty of places to choose from. Most have fire pits, most are pretty level. I felt safe, especially because of other campers and a house nearby. As others have said, I would not try going on this road during or after rain. I had 1-2 bar Verizon for a short distance beginning on the road but ended up having 0 bars at my spot.

Lots of sites with fire rings. All fairly private. Good T-mobile reception. The road and our site was sandy. Not good for 2WD. Lots of deer carcasses. Our dog found a leg bone with hoof, fur and all. So keep your pets near you.

Ok for one night, good phone reception but far from visitor centre. If you need to get the shuttle bus early go to the other end of the park. Also, this park entrance one has one lane to get in so it could be very long if you don't go early.

This is very close to the Zion East Entrance. As mentioned in other comments, there are no trespassing signs you need to be careful of but there are plenty of spots to choose from. We arrived during sunset, and most of the first spots were taken so we ended up going pretty far down the dirt road. Look for fire rings to find a spot to park. We ended up having some service for both Verizon & AT&T.

Super nice spots to stay right outside of Zion! First part of the road is super rocky, but we had no problem in a low clearance Mazda 6. Just a little bit on the red dirt road there’s lots of spots to the right with shade and fire rings. Deer skins are still hanging on the fence! There’s a house right to the left of the spot on private land. Only ones here on a Saturday evening! Lots of coyote howls at night

Road and sites are as described, however we found lots of deer carcasses and bones surrounding multiple sites. We aren’t sure how long they’ve been here, but they seem relatively old. Pleasant temperature in the evening in early July with plenty of shade. Flat terrain, which was nice for setting up tents.

Spent one night here on our way from Vegas to southwest CO. Crazy hot temps in July -- 100 degrees F going through Zion. This spot was "down" to the 90s in the afternoon when we got there. Tolerable in the shade, but still very hot. We drove in from the west which required driving through Zion NP. The campsite itself had shade from trees but we were able to put the Starlink 30-40 ft away in the entrance to the site, and it had a good enough view to the north (though we didn't try any video calls). No good service with Google Fi. The road in was rocky but doable -- red clay dirt studded with rocks. Definitely gets pretty muddy if it rains, I imagine.

Great place to stay; makes you feel safe knowing other people are around, and secluded enough for you to have your privacy. Stayed two nights, had a fire, and had some epic hikes in Zion. Cheers to your adventure, as I hope you may add this stop to yours.

Decent spot, bad hill at beginning with a sharp curve and rocky. After that decent road. I was there with my 23 foot sprinter. Super quiet, flat.

Nice location. Good to reach but as others said, the sign is a bit confusing. Maybe not as easy to reach when it rained but still no 4x4 necessary.

Road looks like it’s been past over by a machine and in decent shape. Rained off and on all weekend and had no problem getting back to camp sites. First part of road was a rocky but a decent Subaru could handle it. Had two Great Pyrenees visit my dog at night-maybe locals? But they were well behaved.

Tons of spots here. But a few cautions to be noted:
The road is hit and miss. The packer dirt turns to soft sand randomly and fast. And if it’s been wet it’s definitely going to be awful.
Also, super important, there are random places wired with barbed wire fencing. It appears to be put up and taken down and wrapped around various trees etc. with stretches across places you could drive or walk right into.
My advice would def be do this camping area in daylight only. I would HATE to see someone get stuck, or seriously hurt up here.
That all being said, I love my camp spot under trees blocking the wind and sun. It’s really nice here. Beautiful view. Quiet. Def recommend this for the cautious driver.

Easy to get to, glad for note re no trespassing signs. Found a great spot on a Saturday night, nobody near us, pretty amazing. And 174mbps download with ATT

Please don’t go there after heavy rain or snow. People went there and « destroyed » the road. I could cross with my 4x4 truck camper but I didn’t wanted to make the trail worst.

From 9th on the way to Zion turn left, cross a cow gate and drive up on a dirt road. I guess by wet weather should not be easy

Did not manage to get there due to mud on the Road - Word of caution. The beginning of power ty Road is gravel, perfectly doable in FWD car, but all of a sudden mud starts in a slight downhil sector and I had trouble Getting out. And trust me, I am willing to go anywhere and usually manage with FWD without issues, but this red mud can be surprisingly impossible to drive on.

We stayed 2 nights here. Perfectly quiet and safe. We had no problem with the road with our French 2WD RV. We took the observatory trail 10km from the spot. Very nice view on the canyon. We did this hike round trip in 3h because we didn’t get the permit for Angel’s landing trail (only possible with a lottery permit). A local told us the observatory was a good alternative for a nice view. And it did. Regarding the BLM, also very convenient for entering the Zion park, east entrance is 5km away. Watch for the tunnel, you have to pay for oversized vehicles.

lots of spots along the road which is doable with a 2wd. not too close to the road, no mosquitos, beautiful night sky, closeby Zion, no amenities. only thing is that we couldn't get stakes in the soil. however not possible anywhere in this area (we tried).

The turn in for this road has a confusing no trespassing sign before the cattle bridge but it’s for the land to the right. Follow that dirt road down for about a mile and you enter blm land. This dirt road is long and there are turn outs with existing fire pits all throughout. Almost impossible not to find a nice space with privacy anywhere you look. And spaces for larger groups. We came after some wood maintenance was done and there was cut firewood everywhere! Nobody else camping when we came. The road can be rutty at times but manageable. Good AT&T reception only one bar for Verizon.
