Walmart/Planet Fitness | Informal Campsite

The car park is quite busy. When we arrived there were no other RVs, there were some trucks at the back though. Didn’t see any signs about no RV parking so spend the night there. Bit noisy but slept fine.

We slept here last night with our Promaster camper van. No issues, nothing suspicious, there were other campers too.

Really not a bad Walmart. Cameras all over and it was fairly quiet for Walmart. Went inside and store was very busy but clean. Used planet fitness for a shower. Good place to stay for Chicago area and I was going outside until maybe 1230am and never felt unsafe at all.

I was hesitant to go here after reading the most recent check-in, but I had a great experience. The parking lot is huge so there is plenty of room to park, I went by the trucks to the side of the building.
Noise, like any Walmart, but cameras everywhere and was not bothered by anyone all night.

maybe im a wimp but the vibe here just wasnt good tonight. The only vehicle with an obvious person sleeping in it was one trucker on the ross side at the back of the lot. (I always am more comfortable when others are there) there was an over abundance of solar security trailers throughout the walmart side with employees talking inside about customers stealing merchandise. The other thing that really did it in for me was the roll cages on every other business in the shopping center besides the planet fitness. ... that many roll cages tells me people break windows. no no no thank you. 10 mins farther south is a Loves truck stop with a much better atmosphere. sometimes walmart just doesnt cut it.

Stayed one night there arrived. A lot of activity until 23h. Security cameras all around parking. Not bad.

walmart and pf parking lot. I'm in a car, I stayed one night and parked on the side of walmart near the trucks. came in late, left early. no one bother me. good service. some highway traffic audible but not too bad. 😊

I am in a car and stayed in the planet fitness parking lot. No problems. Did wake up to a police officer parked about a bus length away. But he didn’t bother me at all. Verizon cell service 3 bars 5g.

Stayed one night in large Walmart lot towards the back. No issues. Only signs were No Truck Parking. Vans/Small campers should be okay. Planet Fitness at other end of lot would also be good/more private.
