Latest Check-Ins

Dispersed dry camping close to the All-American Canal which should have some catfish in it. Little hollows give some protection from the wind. Biting flies found me within an hour. LTVA land not in the reservation system.

Report Check-In

BLM land that is actually a long-term visitor area that charges money. However the campground host lets people that are traveling stay for one night for free which is good better than staying down the road at the rest area. Noise from the freeway is pretty high the hot Springs is at as described above kind of filthy, warm but not hot. Has a bathroom which is convenient overall at highly recommended for a place to stay for one night.

Report Check-In

Good free spot to overnight while traveling. Right next to the interstate and in the flight path for aircraft. Pit toilet at the hotsprings if need be. Hot Springs were crowded and dirty.

Report Check-In

As previously reported. Currently $180 to get a 7 month permit. Can pay cash at the campground host at the entrance. About 2 or 3 dozen RVs here this time of year. Sufficient room.

Only service they have here is garbage. Close enough to El Centro and other places to get supplies once a week. Verizon cell worked ok here.

So far it seems fairly peaceful here.

While this is marked as having no toilets, there are vault toilets across the street at the hot springs.

Camp host said hot springs are open 5am - midnight and suggested that it is best to avoid the hot springs after 8pm as it gets crowded with locals and some times that causes problems. (I think he was suggesting theft but he did not say).

Report Check-In

Good spot opposite the hot springs. I was the only one there in my skoolie which had no issue even after a flash flood. It’s free in the off season until October I believe.

Reminder - LTVA land, permit required 9/15 to 4/15.

Mostly hard packed sand but enough soft sand that you want to take care parking. Quiet.

people live here full time but there are spots available to camp. it is BLM

Report Check-In

We stayed here one night in a van, pretty quiet even with the highway nearby. It is marked as hot springs long term parking, but there is a ton of space if you keep driving down the road. The road is even and hard packed, we were fine in 2x drive.
Between September 15 - April 15th you need a permit to camp, $40 for short term - $180 for long term.
April 15 to September 15 camping is free for up to 14 days!
