Arrived in Cape Charles at 9:30 pm on St. Patrick’s evening. Parked on the street across from the pub. Very quiet (cov 19) No traffic passed by until morning. In the morning, I saw free parking area along the harbor. No “no overnight parking” signs anywhere.

Pulling into Cape Charles at 9 PM on a Tuesday night, it was clear something was off. I saw a total of two cars and both of them were police officers. It wasn't even twenty seconds until I pulled into here that a policer officer pulled in after me. He was really nice, but made it clear that this area does not allow overnight parking and he directed me to the Eastern Shore VA welcome center, which was 15 minutes away and I slept through the entire night!
