Connection point of 4 dirt roads, wide open dirt area in the middle. Pulled our truck off to the side, set up 1 tent, and stayed the whole night. Not one single car drive by for the duration of our stay. Nice view of the mountains on both sides as well. A couple bars of cell service with Verizon and at@t

An unofficial site managed by the Mother Lode BLM Office off of Upper Dorray Road.
We stayed on the clearing up on the hill past the intersection with several roads branching off.
We had several cars drive by either looking for bears to hunt or unknown business. Additionally, we had a local roll up on his ATV at night to enjoy beers and the scenery. Obviously on edge at first, but the gentleman was friendly and we chatted for an hour or so.
A word of caution for dog owners…there are A LOT of ticks in the area.
Overall, a beautiful site overlooking the valley to the East and West.
Report Check-Indrive up was a lot of curves and narrow roads, the actual road leading to this spot is also one lane and sometimes gets confusing with pull offs to peoples driveways but when you hit the dirt it is rutted not too bad tho i was able to get in with a 2500 promaster parked under the tree but it’s not level lol beautiful sunset! can’t wait for the sunrise on the other side and i have two bars LTE on Verizon.
Report Check-InVery nice location in a BLM going up a very narrow paved road until hitting the dirt. Very well for our 2WD, another spot on top of the small hill further up with a 4wd.
Nice sunset on the valley.
Starlink friendly
BLM land. Nice open area at the intersection of 4 dirt roads. It’s about a mile in from the main highway. The last section is dirt and ruts have formed from all the rain, it’s not too bad though. If you want to keep going down the other roads you might need 4x4. But the tagged spot is pretty easy to get to. Tons of dead trees surrounding the spot from the fires over the last couple of years. Great views of sun rise, sun set, and some canyon and valleys. Very quiet and peaceful, we didn’t see anyone the whole day/night. Watch out for ticks, we found some on my dog. Overall good place for a night. Cleaned up a bag of trash when we left.
Report Check-InThere is a small road that goes up the hill from the junction and dead ends after about 500ft. It isn’t very flat but a couple scrap pieces of wood to level out the truck and it was a great spot with great views of the Sacramento sunset. Saw a couple locals doing donuts in the muddy area below but other then that fairly secluded for a weekend.
