Description

Our road friends let us know a local didn’t like them staying at the spot just north of here for several days, so they told us about this park! This park is in the same upscale area with frequent police patrols. The difference is that this location is a little more covered from the residential buildings behind it. Both are public parks with public parking, and have great views over the cliff side for sunset! No amenities, but it’s the best place in Lima with restaurants, cafes, safety, etc. It cools off a bit at night too. We had no issues staying here!

Great spot, overlooking the ocean. Park was busy during the early evening, but quiet at night. Police regularly passed but didn’t stop or both us.

Quiet and safe place, we spent 4 nigths here, no problem. During the day we parked at Las Sombrillas parking lot at the beach, to leave our camper in a safe place while we go to explore the City.

Excelente local para dormir, nos sentimos seguros. Tem supermercado, lavanderia, padaria, farmácia nas proximidades. Para quem viaja com cachorro é um ótimo local para fazer caminhadas.

Perfect spot to spend the night in the city, with access to great food and sites on foot, or you can access the bike lanes with bicycles (city bikes are available for rent too). Quiet at night, nice see breeze and view from the cliffs. No no parking signs. Reasonably flat spot and very little thru traffic. Some of the nicest city apartments and homes are adjacent to the park. We spent Sunday on bikes with thousands of other Lima residents as part of the Ciclodía or Cicolvía, where Ave Arequipa is closed to car traffic from 7am-1pm for cyclists. According to a worker, there were 150 bikes every 15 minutes!

Nos quedamos en este parque dos noches. Es un sector bastante concurrido, mucha gente paseando a sus mascotas y grupos de jóvenes conversando. Nos sentimos muy seguros.
No tiene facilidades.

we stayed here for 5 days. the school on this road makes it a very busy street, but we always felt safe. hard to find space to park until after 4. and pretty noisy all day as this area is popular with dog walkers, not quiet until 10pm. the homeless man asked for 10s as well, we gave him 5 our first night he was out hustling for about 30 minutes, and then we never saw him again. this place is in the middle of many good spots but was a little busier then we expected. the spot by the park further up north was much more comfortable, but this location was better.

After having slept at the Swiss club and a hotel we ended up here to save money. Felt very safe, close to the bars and restaurants of Barranco, no facilities, calm. Free during the week, at least nobody asked for money. Big City boondocking at its best!

Super Nice neighborhood! With cool coffee shops, galleries and bars. We stayed for 2 nights and had no problems. Left the van during the day and felt safe. We arrive in a Saturday night and there was a guy saying that he watches the cars, was very friendly but asked for 10 soles. We gave the 10 soles to him and in the day after there was no body else asking for money to watch the car. I guess it was because of the weekend. Very nice spot, close by the beach. Recommended! No facilities.
